Personally, I drop my pistol the 1st real weapon I find.

I usually swap mine out also if I find something else I want to bring along like a sniper rifle.

Does anyone know if Last Stand still works if you drop your pistol for another rifle?

Last stand will still work... you just pull a pistol out of your butt to use...

But it will always be the weakest 9mm pistol, instead of the .45 or Deagle you were probably carrying.

I love all the pistols so it never bothers me... I love my Gold Deagle but I have been using the USP and and 9mm as of late.
