What do you say to me who moan about Martyrdom

If FF does get turned on, I'd just like to apologize in advance for all my teammates that I will kill. I've been known to take a couple shots at allies when whipping around corners or especially after a flash bang or smoke grenade.

LOL @ all of it. I use the 3x nade perk and martyrdom. I utilize every single one of them, my stun nade, and everything else I can get my hands on. There is no such thing as 'nade spam'. It is a tactic, a weapon, and part of the game. I got used to it and everyone else will to.

I don't know who came up with the term "nade spam" but evidently they need to be playing monopoly or candyland, or maybe stay on pac-man. It does no good to complain about it because it will always be.

I don't know what you mean. I don't know about your tactics, but I don't tend to throw the nades towards a group of friendlies... now that I think of it, I do just the opposite.

If they turn friendly fire on, I'll still get as many nade kills as I did before with a rare occasion I might kill a friendly. It would only be because he rushed in the door after watching me toss a nade inside.

I use perks other than martr or
the "bring out the pistol (Last Stand) perk".

But that is my preference not to use them.
Since I charge a lot, I would
get a lot more kills with martr
in all likelyhood. I get more of a
kick shooting through a wall that
someone thinks they are safe behind.

Or more stamina for those big open runs
through the Square on Bloc.

In certain maps like vacant you have people charging in and they're teammates hucking nades into those same areas. Also on that map it can be particularly bad with the spawn and just die, spawn die, spawn die spawn die Oh yeah spawn...die.

I know this is off topic as the original topic is martyrdom. I'm actually ok with most of the nade spam and even martyrdom. If I get caught and killed from someones martyrdom I call myself stupid. I even used the 3 frag perk too so I can't b*tch. I guess I'd like to see more repercussions from throwing nades indiscriminately. Before I found the Lair I used to play CS and only FF servers. Kinda teaches you to not just wildly spray and to be very careful with nades. I guess I miss that is all.

Premonition, I really really suggest you re-read what I said and keep doing so until you understand it.


1) I'm not complaining. Please show me how I am complaining with that statement. I am simply pointing our my views on the perk, and why I don't understand why people would use it.


2) Vacant sucks, Grenade Spamming sucks. Here I'm speaking for the majority, I always see it after that map when the scoreboard shows. "that map sucks" "this map is horrible" "that's crap". Grenade spamming... let's take a vote. WHO HERE LIKES BEING SPAMMED BY GRENADES?

3) Sorry to say, but if REALLY think I don't appreciate what Cain and the admins have done to make this place that fun, then you're an idiot.

I'm not trying to flame you or be a jerk, I enjoy playing here with you and talking on the forums, but I don't go around b*tching for my gain. I'm like the normal player, having fun, but there are some problems that are annoying. It's nothing the admins or Cain can fix (except for removing Vacant *cough cough*), it's just annoying little "perks" about the game.

As for making players feel guilty, I guess I should have used a nicer word then "loser", but I'm using it in terms as "missing out". I really do think people are making a mistake by using the perk, but I don't hate it. Sure it gets annoying, but it's not as bad as the constant nade spam. I've used it, then I realized I got sick of seeing 9 kills 9 deaths, instead I'd like 20 kills and 3 deaths because I used the advantange of... say... steady aim.

As for all the other stuff you said, send me a PM if you have something to say about me, instead of having it in public. It's no one elses buisness but our own.

Now, dont get me wrong when I say I absolutely hate grenade and matrydom.

I hate it because 80%(my own perception) of the server population will be running around with it. In addition to the initial barrage of grenades its like the 4th of July on every map except that these fireworks kill you or will almost kill you making it so that if ant would bite, it would kill.

My suggestion is that grenades should be a perk instead and the blast radius reduced slightly if not the damage. They should make Martydom like last stand except you as the player have to actually throw the grenade instead of the game auto dropping it for you.

I only say this because I keep on being showered with explosive on a constant basis.

I love it.

I know some people don't like being showered with explosives as much as I don't like being showered with bullets from a machine gun mounted on the railing or in windows on certain maps..... BUT.. I take another route and sneak up and STAB that SOB in the back after he 'spam' fires down the street and through the walls and kills me a couple times. After that I hide outside and wait till he runs in the building after me, and I stab him 2 or three more times. Then he chooses not to mess with me anymore.

I guess the people who don't like showering with shrapnal need a litte more practice to avoid it. I don't have any problems with being killed excessively by none of the above, usually, so like I said.. I guess it is all in your tactics. Practice up and you'll find better ways to play and not be killed as much... and in fact you'll probably be one of the "nade spammers" after a while.... like me, if thats what you wanna call it.
