lol I've said it once, and I'll say it again...Martyrdom isn't that big a deal. The key is to not go running tword someone you just killed and to back away from people if you kill them close to you. Always assume they've got martyrdom and you'll be ok. Imp

QFT, I like Marty and Last Stand because they make you a better player. There's no reason to die to Marty / Last Stand if you confirm your kills, you're adept at watching your grenade indicator, ensuring you know the exits from any spot on the map, and can quickly sprint/maneuver/crouch/prone to avoid the blast.

Sorry. Martyrdom is for those who can't kill their opponent without hoping they get stuck on a half inch door jam while trying to escape the blast.

Nah most of the kills I get with it are people who didn't see me die and wander into the blast zone just before the nade goes off and don't have time to escape. I get loads of free kills with it. Often enough for a UAV and sometimes even a free airstrike. My record so far is 6 kills (the airstrike got another 9 and I was up to 15 with my chopper in the air before leaving my spawn )

Let em' cry, whine, and moan about marty and nades and everything else. The ONLY... and I mean ONLY THING in this game that even COULD be considered SPAM is the guy sitting on a perm mounted machine gun spraying bullets everywhere, through walls, buildings, players.. and everywhere else the gun can pivot to point.... THAT is what you would call SPAM if there was such a thing.

Let me explain my last post since I have received a PM about it stating that it was offensive.

The meaning behind the last post here is that THERE IS no such thing as spam in war time.. Just because you get killed by someone tossing a Grenade aimlessly, or blind firing down a street.. does that mean it is unfair? Well HELL YEAH it is unfair, but if it is what kills the enemy then what ELSE is the objective of the game? I think people tend to lose sight of the objective of the game just because they are no good at staying alive. Said that, my point is.... if you call an aimless grenade spamming.. then what do you consider a roadside bomb in Iraq? Can we remove them from the server? Can we call up Al-Queida and tell them that it is spamming and they can't play anymore?

So, to the person who PM'ed me and told me that it was tasteless, maybe you should take a break and get some rest or something.... and it was NOT a joke... and the only reason I said "LMAO!!!" is because of the insane amount of people who complain about how unfair it is to be killed by a nade or a noob tube or sprayed blind fire when it is all a tactic of war. If there are vets here who are offended by that then they sure as hell don't need to be playing a game where people are slaughtered time after time.

Can you not see that you're comparing an annoying tactic in a VIDEO GAME with something in real life that is killing and maiming people every day? Can you not see or understand that in no way, in anyone's imagination, are the two things even remotely connected?

I sent the pm as a courtesy to let you know that some people may find your post offensive, and that you should just keep that in mind in the future. You then dug a deeper hole for yourself trying to explain your comments, insulting me in your reply, and becoming the arbiter of which vets should play a game. One can play a game and still be offended by comments by the way. The stylized violence of one has little to do with the sometimes insulting or offensive wording of the other. Perhaps a subtle distinction lost on you?

I didn't personally find your post offensive, I found it idiotic, especially in today's state of the world, and especially since your "LMAO" has no context in reading other than a linkage to the iraqi roadside bomb comment--may not have been your intent, but that's certainly how it appears in writing. Your replies both via pm and publicly do not change my opinion. And no, I won't be taking you up on your generous offer to "get some rest."

But I WILL take time off from this thread.

My Apologies for anyone who is offended by my post. It was not offensive to me, however if it did offend anyone I do sincerely apologize. The only comparison I intended to make with the game as to real life was simple. People on the game are getting blown up by "spam" nades and gunfire, as well as every war that a human being has been engaged in. The 'LMAO' was directed at the people who fuss about 'spamming' while I don't believe there is such.

My father is a front line Viet Nam veteran. His father served in WWII and in Viet Nam, as well as my mom's father received the Purple Heart in WWII.

If anyone was offended by my previous posts then I apologize with utmost sincerity.
