Confession of a Noob tuber

I got hosed by that tube quite a bit the past two days. I'll be glad if you go back to the P90, because then you have to be a lot closer to me to kill me and either I or one of my teammies has a much better chance of taking you out before you get there. There's nothing quite like getting out the one little "pew-pew" bullet when you see a bad guy, only to be blown to pieces before you can squeeze off the second.

The latency doesn't help. Watching the kill cam and going "What the...?? " as you see your shot land about 10 feet to the right, when you had your sights right on the guy, is disturbing. Though admittedly not as annoying as those kill cam views when you're five feet away, and you thought you shot half a clip into a guy, and their cam shows that you're outlining their form on the wall.

I've been using the tube recently, but only at extremely close range. I've been working on one of the challenges. I've got about 5 kills to go to complete all 3 challenges. Then I'll quite using it. 3x nades + sonic boom FTW.

the tube isnt good for close range. There is a hint during loading that says the nade needs time to arm. Close range will cause ghost nades that dont blow up or do hurt the enemy. Just incase you wondered about that. Ive tested it and its true. Ive been close enough to get a headshot and it did nothing. Corners also can be funny. Where its like the corner just obsorbs the nade.

For a starting player the noob tube is probably the best weapon in the game. No scopes, no extra frag or special nade perks. It has range and stopping power. Its a fair weapon in that it gives newer players a level playing feild vs high rank players with scopes and stuff. Not to mention it can just be fun to use. I dont use it anymore but i do understand why people use it and dont get upset if they do. Using the tube means they dont have perk 1 nor a scope. Pretty big price just to use the tube.

Hehe, but you didnt know the 'dud' round can be bounced of stuff :P I got someone that way when my dud round hit the floor and bounced up hitting someone in the gut killing him instantly :P I do have to admit i was cheesing the noobtube alot yesterday. I will be back to the P90 for a bit as I want to test out a new p90 build :P

Aquataine, I think its great that you post this here. Everyone has their style and favorite guns. When you kill a lot of people, you will hear a lot of complaining.

Feel free to play your way and as long as it is clean and in fun I have zero problems.

Absolutely. Though I don't think there's anything wrong with calling spam spam

Point blank nades get kills without blowing up if they hit. You get that nice icon of a guy being bent double for the kill

I love the things. The build I use is some random AR (im going for gold so keep swapping) with the nade launcher, sonic boom & martyrdom. You guys dont get to suffer it though as I only really like DOM ATM and there is nothing like blowing people up to clear out a flag area.. or just annoy random clanners! I've had a lot of moans lately and it just makes me laugh and adds to the fun.

i'm not a big fan of the tube. I feel that it is a waste of a customization and sucks because u lose a perk. I will admit it gets you kills but we play to have fun not for points since they don't benefit after lvl 55. My P90 has no grenade launcher but packs a punch

The M203 (or nube tube as it's being called) can be very useful in a lot of maps, but you have to use it right, don't just spam corners with it. Instead, hit ceilings in snipers nests. They can see it coming towards them, but if it hits the ceiling there's not much they can do about it, because the blast covers a greater area. Mainly because it's pushing down and out, instead of up and out. You also have a greater chance of killing snipers this way because they end up being a lot closer to the blast radius.

Well part of my definition of fun would be causing as much mayhem. Seeing that this is only a game, I tend to let loose my aggressive side :P Hence you see me charging balls first into the fray. Though seriously am I that hard to kill ? :P

I killed you 2-3 times on vacant, and you killed me 2-3 times.

Just in case ppl think I use up all the tube rounds then suicide, I dont. I use the tube as a long range stand off weapon :P Then when I run out of rounds I use the assault rifles as intended :P Using the tube also allows me to gain access to the airstrike and gunship abilities quicker. XD The only time I suicide with this build is because I ran out of ammo or can't reload due to all the bullets flying at me.
