We have a discord and folks are already on there Join Here
We have started a Sunday Get Together, every Sunday from 12pm eastern time!
Email issues: there is a problem with outbound mail, if you need help resetting best place is discord.
This is because the other methods use email
I'm with you on the sniper hunting. If what I refer to as a "stationary target" kills me, well I can guarantee you that in the next 20 seconds there will be a grenade on your position and there will not be three or four seconds to run away from it
Back in the good ole days of 2142,
there would be entire SQUADS going after Major Massacre.
JUST HIM and his Nekomata!!!
Yeesh that was fun, on EITHER side.
If I get killed by a sniper in coordinates xxyy, I'm going to get him.
If I get killed 3-4 times before I can, so be it.
PLUS, there are only so many good sniping spots, so if you are on
a SNIPE hunt (Not the Snipe hunt from RL, lol), then you KNOW where
you can usually find them.
But, people like Aquataine don't stay in one place camping, so trying to
pin them down is a wash. Just run into him during play.
Trust me, you WILL run into them again during the round.
Same with Carbon, Needle, Voice... They have their fav routes, but
they DON'T camp for 99% of the rounds. Sure, they opt for sniper or
M16 to long range rape on occassion, but that is the exception rather
than the rule.
Now, If the other side is copying Aquatine, and noob tubes are on every
other player, I might sit that round out. Just isn't fun to me anymore
for most maps. You meet 1v1, bring up your weapon first, and think, "YES, GOTCHA SUCKA", pull the trigger and a newb tube hits
you in the gut or explodes at your foot. 1 shot kill, end of story.
That BLOWS. But that is my opinion.
Everyone has their dislikes or hates about styles or perks or whatnot.
Heck, EVERYONE hates Voice and his shotty.
I miss those days. Was a hell of a lot of fun playing with all you guys. We sure did give them all a run for their money didnt we Dead?

You guys were by far my favorite prey. In no other game did you get the feeling of "big game hunting" then trying to track down and bag Massacre and his squad
I went back to the M16 the other day, and I decided to try to finish the Ouch challenge. I must say it is fun to shoot someone in the gut with the GL and watch them drop! Hopefully I'll finish Ouch before I unlock the silencer. I think that is my favorite attachment for any gun...
Is it me or is there a "bounty" on my head. Notice alot of ppl aiming for me whenever they get the chance.
Its a bounty
Actually i just follow the tube trail. See a smoking nade and you will find someone reloading. especially on bloc. take the standard hiding spots then use the tube and you gave a good idea where people are waiting to get killed. 90% of the time a tuber doesn't make it to your spawn but you more likely to die trying to get to the other teams spawn. Even if i cant shoot the tuber, ill toss a nade to the area it came from.
While using the tube is pretty much a 1 shot kill deal, it also gives away your location without needing a uav.

I tubed on Bloc and made it into the enemy stairwell. Haha, was that fun !! I wish I could have a bandolier with that RPG !! First, I will say that I am not skilled enough to EVER refer to the radar and I wouldn't notice it unless it covered my gun sight, so its useless for me at my current skill level.
But I am smart enough to listen for nearby gunfire, so I waited patiently at the bottom of the steps, then fired off my round, killing a few guys each time who never even saw me at any point .. it was a splash damage kill.
It is indeed a weapon requiring no skill, but if you know how to use it in certain spots you can root out guys that are untouchable otherwise. I gave up once I was on Overgrown, as its a complete waste on that map unless you want to down helis.
Oh if a man tried to take his time on Earth and prove before he died what one man's life could be worth, well I wonder what would happen to this world ? - Harry Chapin
Tubing on Overgrown is actually easier than you think. People congregate at about 2 key locations on each side at the heart, and 1-2 places on each side at the edges. Just fire into those areas, and you're bound to get kills.

I don't know... Aquatube is still able to blast pretty much everyone on my team with the things. I start getting pissed and specifically try to aristrike him...
Unfortunately, by that time he's already charging at me tubes farting (not guns blazing) and I cant pull off a M16 burst before I'm red mist

Usually I will pull out the noob tube if my aim with the other weapons is below my standards for that session. Otherwise I am trying to complete the assault rifle challenges. Unfortunately I can be a bad loser at times, so if some one is ganking me constantly oh lets say CarbOnFire or Drisel, then I will fight fire with fire and turn on noob mode.
Oh, depending when Sins of a Solar Empire comes out, I will be taking a short hiatus from COD 4. At least then you guys dont have to worry about me filling the battlezone with gajillion noob tube rounds.
It really depends , Carb has a knack of ramming his stinking guns up my rear when I am busy with someone else that or his stinking heli/airstrikes get me before I get to him. Though everytime one of my dud noob tubes round hit him, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Noob tubing is more uh satisfying (love it when I nail someone in the head with a dud round) then me running and gunning with the p90.

Yuk yuk yuk.....aquatube.
Well I'll stick to snipin.....because once you try to get in range with that noob tuber....you be laying on your back dead :P
Why do so many people have to cry
"Noob"
"Noobed"
"tubed"
or some variation EVERYTIME they get killed by the thing?!?!?!
It's like they are trying to tell you that your kill was not "skillz". Or that you suck because you had to resort to the tube. These guys are really starting to get on my nerves.
A change of Pace.
"All the fun of a clan without the BS" - Cain
Depends...are they saying it in good fun? When I say it, I'm joking. I used to use the things all the time in America's Army and got quite good at them in that game. I just like busting chops.
It's like tanking. People hop in a tank or play the tube a round or two, get some kills, and think it's easy, and that you have no skill by using them. But what they don't realize is that it takes a hell of a lot of skill (in either) to be truly good with them.
The way I view it is, if they're so easy, how is it I can count on less than one hand the number of tankers I've encountered (in any game) who are close to me?
Party on, Paceman. Do what feels right and, more importantly, FUN.
