    cod4 tip!

dont let the other team trap you in 1 corner. Sniping is fine and all but a team full of snipers who spawn and crouch is not gonna gain any ground on the map.

Push forward!!!!! If the other team controls 3/4 the map then they will have tons of sniping spots and be able to attack from all sides. The team will get pinned down from nades, heli`s and snipers.

The team who controls the map 99% of the time wins. The team that gets trapped gets murdered by airstrikes and nades.

Push the other team back then snipe!

Agree 100%. Unfortunately, it seems people get it in their mind that they'll get to sit there and snipe all round unmolested, and that doesn't work when everyone on the team does it. You're very welcome to play how ever you want here, but don't be surprised when you get squeezed in a corner and bombed / naded to kingdom come. Adapt and overcome!

Sadly half the people don't care if their team wins and just want to do what they want, regardless if it helps their team.

I will never, ever be found sitting in a corner. I do snipe occasionally, but usually do so on the move. I can almost always be found at the point of attack, cooking my nades and blasting away with my MP-5.

A few snipers is nice, but you have to be mobile to win.

As probably everyone has done, I've tried out all the different guns
and specs. Sniping is OK for a change of pace, especially if most of
your team is going SMG or Assault.

And yes, it is frustrating to be squeezed into a box, and slaughtered.

That's why I now charge charge charge. Often to my untimely death, but
if other's are following me, the 4 guys who emptied their guns into me
                are now slowly reloading.

                Case in point on Bloc:

I'll charge across the plaza to take the opposite stairwell in the middle.
If I can take it, I'll keep it until other players come over to help exploit
the spearhead. The key is that someone should be on my six as I
charge. Now we have a route into their back area, and the
CARNAGE CAN NOW BEGIN. I've often had chargers come
racing into the stairwell and off to the end of the building to pillage. I'm
keeping the home fires burning until I die or run out of ammo.

That doesn't work if 90% of your team are snipers, and they are
ALL either lined up at the corner of the wall or building, or parked in the
2nd story windows of the very first building. Who is taking the offensive?
A handfull of guys are out there with little or no support trying to break
                through the maginot line.

Why do some people get insane kill counts?
Because a big group of snipers are all looking through their scopes, all
standing around, and Aquatine, Carbon, Needle, or even ME sometimes can get behind them.

Special grenade, nade them, shoot them, KNIFE them, and none notice.
FUN TIMES !!! People get so focused (No pun intended) on what's
in front of them, that they don't often look BEHIND or even to the sides.

I love to rush on Overgrown, with my shotgun. It is very easy to get into the enemies rear area. It is so much fun to shoot snipers in the back. Sometimes I will stand behind them for a while and look over their shoulder. I am just trying to see what has them so mesmerized.

{CLR} is insane when we get everyone on the same team and start doing what I call Map Toilet Bowl-

It's not something we discuss openly, but we get into a rythm, where we are on the edges of the map moving as a single mass clock-wise, or counter clockwise.,

In observation, I notice that the opposite team starts to spawn just as we take ground, and they simply have no chance.

Then the smarter people in our bunch start dropping their air strikes just ahead of our position, or through the middle of the map.

I remember one night we ended a map so fast that I was left thinking 3000 pts felt like 1500

I snipe on only 1 map, and that's just trying to get the sniper challenges. Mostly I'm getting shot so that others can kill my killer.

Im starting to think there is a statue award people get for spawning and not moving.
just played 4 maps in a row where my team got shut down and locked into 1 spot mainly for the entire round.

They need a kick feature in this game! No not the admin kick feature but the boot. When someone spawns crouches and starts shooting go kick`em in the head.

QFT. The weird spawns in COD4 promote the clockwise swirl around the map, but they key is pushing forward on TWO fronts until you own more than 50% of the map as Premonition says. Vacant is a perfect example, if you start as SAS and follow the spawns you'll soon find yourself inside the shooting gallery, whereas if you push into the building from both ends you'll manage to keep Opfor pinned and win easily.

As soon as I sense the toilet start swirling, I immediately go the other way if we are on the offensive or the defensive of the turd.
