Okay these things suck so much I'm going to complain... just kidding.


I love these guns! I've never had so much fun shooting a gun. It's fun watching my enemies poking their heads out the window and seeing me barage the wall to kill them

I think I want to go for golden LMG next. I just completed all of the SAW, now I'm working on the M60, which seems a bit more powerful and accurate but a lot slower rate of fire and seems to have a bit more recoil.


The RPD on the other hand doesn't look like it's very good for bullet penetration, but recoil seems very low on it which might make up.


The only problem I really have with LMG's is if someone pops out and you're not ready to fire, you're most likely going to lose, as it takes awhile to bring your gun out.

However, fun guns. I think they might actually be my favorite

They all have their niche.

SAAW is just a screamer. Looks like a stream of fire. Fun to play with, but
it isn't the best LMG for me.

I actually like the RPD for most maps. Fast enough to kill with
going against assault specs. OK penetration, and accurate.

Nothing is more fun than taking that big honking M60 into vacant, and
chewing up the place. Walls are no defense.
It is great with double-tap also. Very accurate.

Right now I like the SAW the best, although I think the RPD is a good gun as well. I don't like the M60, but that may change when I unlock the Red Dot sight. I just hate the iron sight it has.

I use LMG`s alot and i would strongly recommend bullet damage as your #2 perk.
The first 2 weapons are the best, the one you get gold for sux (the sights are screen hogging).
But the saw and rpd are the best i think. Both are fun to use and really can mow down groups at med range. Like on pipeline going into the buildings.

They are not the most accurate guns in the game thats for sure and reload is like watching paint dry. But the rate of fire and amount of ammo you have per clip rocks. Very fun group of weapons to use on large player count servers. I switch between lmg`s and p-90 and while the p-90 is great the ammo before reload can often get you killed with high player counts. LMG is run and gun. They are great for laying down cover fire to keep enemies trapped. They are pretty effective at shooting down copters to.

Not as effective as assault rifles in the wide open. But in a contained area it capable of clearing out a area fairly easy. Bullet penetration will drive snipers crazy as the rate of fire and amount of ammo lets you look for them. Scroll around until you hit them and concentrate on that spot.

Then why do I keep getting sniped with the damn things?!?!?!

I get killed A LOT, by people with RPD and ACOG scope shooting 1 round at time, half way across the map.

+1 SAW has way too much kick for the amount of punch it provides. I enjoy the M60 as well, and think it is one of the best sounding guns in the game.

But my money for pure LMG pwnage is the RPD. Some may prefer an ACOG attachment, but I'll always go for the pure visibility of the Red Dot Sight. Add Deep Impact and Stopping power, and most players drop in just a couple of bullets. It's also nice because it's nearly sniper rifle accurate, unlike the bullet hose SAW

I became a victim of yours last night quite a few times. I love the SAW, it is SO accurate with the red dot. I get so many headshots with it. I put bullet penetration on it and just hammer walls and buildings that I know people are hiding behind! Works wanders!

When I got the M60, I stuck with it until I finished all the challenges. I then went back to the RPD and find myself playing with it quite often.

Seems more accurate and gives me a better feel for what I am shooting at.

If you wanna kick butt with the saww then the grip is a must try. Add extra bullet damage and penetration and your all set. great for close to med range. The grip really stops the saw`s bad recoil. Giving up perk 1 kinda suxs but you will learn fast just how much recoil the saw haves without it.

I use the same load out with the M60 to good effect. You need a red dot sight with the M60 as the dime sized hole is too small to acquire targets.

This is my favorite kit of all time:
RPD; grip; double tap; steady aim.
You can mow down a stream of soldiers in a few seconds, grip is AMAZING.

RPD is my favorite all-around LMG, but I do prefer the M60 on certain maps.
