I think he is confusing the two.. Rank and Tracking are two different things, but coincide with each other. Rank in COD4, as Dead_and_Gone stated gives you more weapon unlocks and such.. silencers, scopes, perks, and challenges. On the other hand, there are a few tracking systems, but COD4tracker.com was started and made famous by the people at www.aaotracker.com (I believe) for the game America's Army and it has become the most popular tracking website for AA and will likely be the same for COD4. It tracks what weapons you kill with, what maps you play on and your stats, even shows where on the enemy's body you hit with your aim and what percentage of bullets hit where. It also shows your clan's tracker as a whole. You can use this to find areas where you need to improve and used to compete with other players and friends. About half way down the screen you can see the maps I played on, but click on the weapon stats and hitbox stats buttons to see more detailed information.
