Cheaters be banned! I love it!

I saw this a few times today. Good news and bad news.

The bad news is that people actually hack for something thats made for fun and only fun


The good news is:

If punkbuster bans them it doesn't just ban their copy of the game, but also their hardware too. If that dude want's to play online on CoD4 again he will need a new hard drive at least.

You are correct if they get a PB hardware ban.

This guy got banned by PBBans, so he is also banned at other PBBans servers who share their banlists.

However he can still play just fine on any non-PBBans server.

COD4 seems to be better coding, and hackers are picked up
alot faster than EA's. Nice to be one step AHEAD of them this time.

Who said that? I recall me saying I hate it. It's annoying having a nice round then OH! Punkbuster update get kicked, oh punkbuster problem get kicked!

Luckily it's way better in CoD4 then BF2 and BF2142. In those games I'd get kicked at least once a day by Punkbuster because it had an error or something.

And it was a pain in the rear end trying to get CoD4 playing when I bought it. I had a problem finding a file, which took hours, then Punkbuster wouldn't update correctly, which took another hours, leaving me with hard anytime to try out the game the day I bought it, and I was anxious wanting to play.

I dont like cheaters or Glitchers Or swearing,Im not a prude I just Like to Play the game clean and honest and I dont know why They have to cheat.......What do they get out of it! .......THY moe

1: They want to be on the top of the charts, or OWN/PAWN the server.
2: They may not have the strategies or logic down, so they want HELP.
I.E. Instant gratification.
3: Since they are mostly mid-low skill level players, they STILL die alot
usually. A highly skilled player will STILL own them most of the time.
4: They can't take the time or trouble to learn the game, and they come
to the CLR TDM server and get OWNED. They want something extra
to compete with the bad boys at the Lair.
5: Schools try to teach people that EVERYONE is a winner. Well, in RL and
in COD4, there ARE true winners and losers. Some people hate that.

6: Basically, most are too lazy to bring their skills up to match the top
players, or never will have those skills, so they cheat to compete.
7: Lastly, there are some that have very good skills, but they get a kick
out of embarrassing people, owning everyone, pulling wings off fly's,
etc... Hacking makes them almost unstoppable. King Kong ego.

I curse like a sailor mostly when I'm playing, but I don't and have never saw fit to actually type out most curse words in a gamechat type environment. I occasionally might throw a beep out there if there is a heated argument, but nothing you can't hear on TV on just about every channel. I don't disrespect other players and I surely don't call people prude names... unless it is something like 'assbag' or 'asshat' and 99% of the time, it is in a joking manner. Usually those people who go around swearing a lot are kids, anyway, and it shows their adolescence.

Cheaters... I probably don't even need to express my thoughts on the topic, but I will say that I can't stand it, and I have busted a couple hundred cheaters on the various gameservers I have owned.

My clan feels the same way. I have tried to get some of them to come play and I think one or two of them have played on cainslair, but they don't like the short map rotation and/or the quick rounds, so the few of them who do play COD4 alot found other servers to their liking.

I hope the COD4 TDM server starts being tracked again soon. It is a big deal to me and the reason I quit playing on the other server I used to play on, where I was ranked #2 out of 19000 + players here:

Anyways, once my kids get over this virus they've had for the last few days, I hope to get to play some more with you guys. All three of my kids have been going around the house spraying Godzilla puke everywhere and I've been having to help the wife out. I still throw in a few rounds on my lunch hour usually, but I hope to be back full blast soon.

Just curious, what does a high rank mean and why does it matter to you? When I look at the chaos that is TDM on Cain's I don't really see a point to chasing some sort of personal rating.
