you think you could at least jump over a prone body.

As I said in a previous posting, it really isn't any worse than before.
If you call them out by name on VOIP, they will move 95% of the time.
Usually they are looking for threats, aiming at something, trying to
decide where to run to. In other words, they don't KNOW someone
is wanting to use the door.
Admittedly, it is a pain if you are the point, kill someone, they drop
an egg (Martrydom), and you pull back to get out of the radius, but
CAN'T, because someone is standing in the door. No time.
BOOM!!! You'd think they could see/hear the nade drop,
but NOOOooooooo. lol
How about when you are rushing, and the person in front of you is
weaving back and forth. Kind of like Nascar, you CAN'T get around
them. Then they stop DEAD in a choke point, standing you up,
making you a nice fat target.
Just remember, we have lots of brand spanking new players on the
server every day. They don't KNOW that they are blocking the
route's, or doors. This is an educational period for them, so
TEACH them with VOIP or Chat to move along and keep everyone
alive, or at least not an easy target for nade spam or snipers.

Now if I hit the internet list and refresh I see the Lair on the first page sometimes. Add to that the fact that it's in pretty colors and I think it pops to people who jump around to different servers alot. I think that would probably be new players and you end up with lots of dudes who aren't that educated on the fine points. Kinda like new baseball fans not waiting til between batters to get up and move to the aisles. It's an idea.

Another thing I think should have some serious modifications. Imagine this: In real life, in a gunfight you come charging at an enemy aiming down the sights of your gun, start firing and drop to your belly.. all the while, still aiming down the sights of your gun and then get up crouching, then stand, then jump, STILL AIMING and never stop firing during the whole process.
We all know that NOBODY in their right mind would do this IRL. First off, you'd bust your lip and knock out a few teeth and maybe get a black eye because you just basically DOVE to the ground without using your hands while a gun was near your face.
I think when you go prone the gun should be unharnessed and then reharnessed once in the prone position. This would eliminate those dolphin diving - bunny hopping guys. This is especially the case for those who use the LMGs. I watched a guy the other day and he was coming at me, JUMPED, and then looked like he was prone while he was still about head high and landed smack on his stomach while firing.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I can understand firing while standing up and then crouching while still maintaining a fixed aim. I can also understand that maybe going from standing, to crouching, and then prone with maybe a short delay between crouching and prone.
What is you guys' take on it?

You'd likely misfire the weapon if you did that mid stream of fireing- hurting yourself or a squad member.
The casing would jam in the channel from being rockered because you most certainly would jam that gun on the ground at some point
The magazine would malfunction- again from dropping to the ground and using the gun to absorb the fall (which is the ONLY way you can do that effectively in the manner we see it in the game)
You'd dig the barrel which means debris in the channel and thus a likely implosion of the weapon in your hand
I also disagree with the concept of rising from prone and continuing to fire the whole way through. The principal of combat that I know is that you must stay down if you go down until you are clear from challenge.
The rate of rise exposes you to attack- its not like you can jump up while returning fire- you have to crawl to a safety position.
Then again---- all this is moot, because friendly fire is disabled on our server, so the reality portion of this conversation is kinda silly....
in summary -- DEFINITELY YES.

Whenever someone with an SMG guns me down through a solid concrete wall, I remember that COD4 isn't exactly a combat simulator.

In Black Hawk Down we didnt have a problem with doorway/hallway blockers because ur character could after pressing on any movement button push through the other character even giving a small pushing effect too, yeah it was a bit unrealistic but it worked.
Now in CoD4 you got to understand a lot of people have bought and are buying this game hell NPD results has shown its the hottest game title right now with runaway sales, IW and Activision are laughing all the way to tha bank which means we have a lot of newbies running around getting killed and getting seasoned players killed by blocking the doors and hallways.
I think we might just have to accept the blockers I dont think a patch is in the works for this problem but I must admits its FREAKIN ANNOYING!!!
