Just curious, why no Cargoship et al?

As a CLR Primeval veteran, I'm surprised that Cargoship and some of the other small maps aren't in the rotation. I've been playing them on other 50 man servers and while the playstyle is hardly pro it's a fun break from the more challenging maps and the rounds are usually over very quickly with so many opportunities for killin'. Does no one enjoy a quick slaughterfest as much as I do?

I never rule any map out, but most folks don't like Cargo with more than 16 players....

Wetworks is less about killing and more about dodging nades.

If you notice, we don't really run any of the maps that offer little to no air strike protection (Cargoship, Bog, Farm). With so many people and so little space on those maps, theres very little control you have over your own life....and that's just not fun. Even in Primeval 64, you had a chance (if you were good enough) to survive near the middle of the map....at least for a while

Bout the only thing Cargoship is good for is sniper warz....and maybe that's why people want it

It is not much fun getting hammered by Airstrikes and choppers on those maps when you are not one of the top players...

not only that but there is a weather effect (rain) in that map. Its dark (which always gets complaints) and no protection from airstrikes.

So you have constant airstrikes (get 1 and you chain them) the weather effects makes it laggy for lower end pc`s and being dark just adds to the confusion. Mic it all up and you have a unplayable round for a lot of players. Kinda like the dam level in bf2.

farm and bog are great maps... never played them with higher player counts so they might not be so much. But i do enjoy playing them on the other server. It also adds a distinct flavor to both servers that makes the game play different.

Countdown and bog may creep back in, Farm (downpour) is unlikely.

My advise for that is to get better. But I hate it when I spawn into an airstrike on all 3 bombing raids.

People always forget about nightvision in the game, I use it often when just clearing a dark room to make sure some guy in dark camo isn't waiting for me.

I use night vision and still have a terrible time with the map... some spots are light and others are dark. Plus I hate to look at bright green for so long. I change CSS Night vision to blue and that fixed my problem.

bog is one of my favorite maps. I've played it on a 40 players server and it was ok.

Cargo ship... Ahh.. a decent map, but too many players were getting seasick after gorging themselves with Pickled Pigs Feet and Deviled Eggs. So the map was removed temporarily due to the ship's need for excessive cleanup.
