PB problems

I keep gettting kicked by PB....A red warning comes up and says server is running old version of PB. Then i get kicked with a pb init error? I checked pb for updates and downloaded them but still get kicked. Any ideas on this? Ive looked over the PB sticky and have followed those instructions. Any help would be great

I had that problem too. What worked for me was i updated punk buster, but i had to do it about 10 times to get it to work for some reason. I hope you get it fixed.

did u upgrade COD4 itself in pb_setup? U need to add it to ur game list then select it and look for updates

PB has had some problems this week. They are moving to another hosting system today. It could be as simple as waiting and trying to update later in the day.

Sometimes pb doesn't auto-upgrade the server. If any admin as rcon access, the command to check the server version is:

pb_sv_ver and it should say(as of 1/25/0:

PunkBuster Server: PunkBuster Server (v1.633 | A1394 C2.037) Enabled

If it doesn't then the server didn't autoupdate when pb released the latest version yesterday and today. The command to manually update the server is:

pb_sv_update

Im still getting booted!! Do i need to uninsall the whole damn gam and redownload it from steam......which takes hours!! I mean my PB is fully updated and the setup file is in the steam directory. What else can i do? when i log on is says Warning server running older verssion on PB......Then after about 5 mins i get the boot with diffrent msgs......some times its pb init error. This is really getting me pissed. All i wanna do after work is hop on the server and play without pb problems.. PB sux ARSE

I can connect to all other servers just not Cainslair??

You need to go here:

And manually update your client files.....

The message that says the sever is running an older version is an error... It just means we are not running the same version...

Cain i have done that already. Its strange that i can connect to all other servers running pb but have this problem only on Cainslair?
