PB problems

I can connect to all other servers just not Cainslair??

yea i did ......Its strange i can connect with my XP system but not my Vista system. Im going to reinstall steam and pb on the vista Box and see what happens

O well Ive exuasted every option on getting PB to work on Cainslair and all have failed. I guess i want be seeing you guys on the battlefield

It just makes no sense to me that im able to play on ALL OTHER pb servers but not Cains???? This sux so bad!! The game is no fun if you cant play with the CLR crew. O well i guessIi will play some other singleplayer games until PB gets there stuff fixed!!!

Chops, before you give it up for good....run pbsetup.exe and post here what client and server versions it says you have.

Here's what it says mine are (and I can join Cains just fine):

Call of Duty 4 D:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4-Modern Warfare\

Client Version (v2.037|A1394)
Server Version (v1.633|A1394|C2.037)

I've been having this same issue. I've gone through the sticky and the tutorial step by step. COD4 PB v2.037/A139 client, v1.633/A1394/c2.037 server. I can play other servers, just not the Lair.

I'm wondering if the other servers that you CAN connect to have PB enabled. If you get the chance, verify that the servers that you can connect to are definitely pb servers.

yea im running the same version......Im starting to wonder if it has something to do with ppl who used steam to download the game?? Instead of getting a retail box version?

I have pb as one of the filters when I look for servers so I can definately connect to other pb servers. I have the retail version, not steam. Maybe a Vista thing?

OK, this was my bad...



There was new Version of PB Client and server released a few days back, and I just missed it... and my server did not update automatically as it should.

Please try it now and let me know if that works for you. I suspect there were many, many players like you with PB problems, but they don;t post here.
