I auto-assign most of the time, but sometimes I wonder why I bother. 90% of the time I do it, auto-assign puts me on Op-For. :P

I`m using AutoAsign all the time... but most of game i`m on "red" site

I always auto assign, even in 2142 I stuck with my team unless someones on that hardly plays and I wanted to squad with them.

I always auto assign... and yeah I always get OpFor or Spetz.
Especially on Vacant where the SAS gets swamped with noobs who just want to camp and ramp up their K/D ratio

but it is nice to kick the SAS's @$$ on Vacant when you flip the map and cram them into one room.
I just ignore the idea that Im killing Americans... otherwise I am looking through my scope and am grimacing every time I click the mouse.

I've now learned to agree. some of the rounds today were 2950 -1120, and the 1120 had about 1 area to spawned and we got raped. It was no fun.

Remember, when you're completely destroying an enemy that has no chance, it gets old FAST. I quit playing many games offline because I used the cheats to the game, and it got old FAST. Challenge is the best part in many games, and not to mention it's really boring sitting there getting killed everytime you move by airstrikes, nades, or just snipers able to camp that area.


Even the teams up, I have more fun vsing my fellow CLR's then being on their team, now that we don't have squads and all.

coming from console (ps3) version of COD4 Im used to the auto assign, heck I thought it was a normal part of the game until I played the pc version. That being said, when it comes to maps where stacking is usually where its at, I just hit auto assign and play. I'm all for playing in an auto assign cainslair, you have my vote. Hey maybe some how, some way this can be the very cure we need to stop the 10 mins of repeated air strikes.

Some people HATE Vacant... Once I got a routine down, I never
have a bad round, no matter what team I'm auto assigned to, and no
matter how badly or how well my team plays. It just doesn't matter
with my style of play on Vacant. YAY FOR OLD GUYS.

There are a VERY few maps where I can get toasted with a bad team
no matter what I do. There is usually a way to sneak out of the box.
Then again, when you die, you get put BACK into that box of pain.

That's why I'm always charging on BLOC, because it doesn't matter
whether my team is being dominated or not. I KNOW there are still
bad guys at the end of the row.

But that is for someone who has played enough to have developed a
semi decent style to compensate for old age and slow reflexes.
Sometimes I get burnt no matter what if I'm tired, but that's life.

Example:

Rogue and I were on the same (Non Marine) side recently on Crossfire.
The usual people manually picked the Marines, which has a built in
advantage. Rogue and I led a 2 man charge over and over, and got
some decent carnage out of it. Unfortunately, most of our team
chose to not follow us. Instead they were either camping/huddling at the
bottom of the map, or ill fated charges at the absolute worst choke points.
It was really nasty.
I did get a couple to follow me when the map first started, and I got all
the way to the marine back spawn, but they had already stopped
half way up. I know they heard me on VOIP, because they
followed me in the first place. They just gave up too soon, being new and
unsure of the map possibly?

Bottom line, our TEAM got royally burnt, crisped, sauteed, fried, ....
WHY?
Because the first joiners manually picked the Marines, while the
auto pickers, and new people got stuck on the other
disadvantaged side. Worried about your K/D ? then why play TDM???

It only takes 2 rounds of 2900/1400 to make people want to find an
easier server somewhere else that might be more balanced. That's not
something we want to happen consistently.

I'm of the same now. I play a few rounds with the M60 - churn out a few head shots, then Im off to do whatever is fun.

No use grinding it out.

In regards to the topic at hand- I've been on teams with half as many as the other and we simply owned the match.

Winning is 1 part intention, 1 part preparation, and 1 part adaptation. Stubborness, dedication, and all that other garbage about refusing to lose are components of intention.

Have fun, stop worrying about who is where, or how many are on Team Meanie.

Bloc is one where i pick a side, although I usually pick Spetnaz. I only do this because i am going for the gold M60 and i found a spot on that side that it perfect for headshots. Other than that I usually do auto assign. It makes the teams more random so at some point you will be able to play with and against everyone.

I heard that linemanstud. I am almost finished all challenges for the assault rifle class one and a half more levels to complete and I will have the golden AK47. I have been picking sides as you described but will pick auto assign at times too.
