Well, considering the noob tube is just about the most annoying weapon in the game, this is a welcome change

I don't consider it an annoying weapon, in fact, I like it because it's harder to use PROPERLY than most.

Step 1: Enter room with M1014 and Double Tap.

Step 2: Hold down trigger.

Step 3: Reload while standing on a pile of corpses.

I gave up my p90 with double tap which annoyed folks...now I'm using rpd with double tap....can't wait to hear the complaints! I love how long I can shoot before reloading.

The best LMG loadout I've found so far is RPD, Grip, Stopping Power and Deep Impact. That rig has tremendous accuracy and range, so that I can stand at one end of a large map like Pipeline and pick guys off at the other end. The trick is to NEVER use it on full auto, I swear the game artificially degrades the accuracy when you hold the trigger down. Plenty of times I've been 10 feet from someone and panic-sprayed them only to miss completely, whereas if I double-tap it takes 'em down every time.

I'm actually starting to come around to the LMG on maps like Pipeline, Bloc, Overgrown and Vacant with long sightlines, as personally I can swing the LMG around much faster than a sniper rifle and there's minimal recoil and no reload time to deal with.

I was using newer version of RPD in army. And the game is ok with accuracy when U hold trigger down. Try hold stady 20 kg. (or more) machine gun and shot whole clip in target... impossible. Recoil is veeery big in this kind of weapon.

Step 4: Realize you only killed two of the three guys in the room, go to pull out your pistol but you're already dead.

It's not hard to kill a single person up close....most guns can do that. The catch is working with the small 4-round magazine and always using distance to your advantage. Catch a shotgun wielder at range....they're toast if you're quick about it.
