    I'll take some screenshots and give you all some well-rounded tactics that may help you out and possibly give you 10-20-30 extra kills per round on that map. There is an art to it on that map Muah ha ha ha.

      No Bitchin Cain

      No Bitchin Cain..its nice to have a change in the maps once in a while. question, how come we played CTF on BF2142 and now its deathmatch or headquarters (deathmatch is always full)???

        After doing a little research with my clan, we found that TDM was the most popular and usually stayed populated most of the time whereas the other gametypes just didn't bring in the people as much. I don't know why it is, but even Hardcore Deathmatch doesn't bring in as many.

          Why is it more popular? Because people don't want to have to think or play a certain way. It seems either people want to find a nice quiet spot and snipe easy targets of opportunity all game (without much risk of dying outside an errant nade or airstrike), or run around aimlessly shooting the nearest enemy.

          Any sort of objectives, avoiding combat in any way, rushing an objective....these are things it seems most players in this game don't want to do. You do nothing but get into firefights in TDM, and that seems to be right up most people's alley.

          For me personally, I find it quite dull and get bored with TDM after just a few rounds.

                    QFT, some of my highest scores are on Downpour, on both SAS and Spetz. The key there is STEALTH, throw some smoke, sprint to a good spot and you can easily camp the machine gun (especially on servers with no kill cam). Nade ricochets are also key as you say, since you can bounce nades off trees, off the silos, off the buildings etc. and make big kills all while hiding undetected in the grass and out of the machine gun fire.

                            I LOVE IT.

                            I played for what.. maybe an hour and a half or so yesterday and I still didn't get to the Downpour map.

                            That's what I'm talking about.

                            Normally, in that amount of time I'd have already started the rotation over. Thanks again Cain for adding the maps back. I think you'll attract more players than not. Unfortunately for me, now I am forced to play longer hours to try to get through a complete rotation. When I play I usually like to do one complete cycle.

                            Server owners usually tend to keep their servers playing whatever draws the crowd. The owners, such as Cain, try to have the best server and usually try to do as much as possible to keep the server active with players all the time and as clean as possible (which I believe is the key to successful gaming servers). Not only does this make it fun for everyone else, but it keeps the regular players from having to hunt somewhere else to play when the server isn't populated, because it usually isn't empty, and there are usually admins on that will take out the trash if someone is being an assbag.

                              Oh, I thought you meant that you wanted us all to run out into its fire and shoot randomly to distract them while you blew the gunner's head off...

                              I have actually devised a plan that waits for the MG noob to overheat his gun, then I sprint into the farmhouse and work my way to his side. So far, this has worked with the exception that I encounter a bunch of people waiting in that house...

                                I didn't know the gun overheated. It never has for me, and I can bet you I laid into it for at least 90 seconds straight on Overgrown on a couple of occasions.
