Superstar Seperation

I wonder if someone could come up with a way to split up the superstars on this server....

56kDemon + Rogue7 + Drisel on the same team is overkill. Need to make it so they can never be on the same team...well all 3 that is.

Unfortunately team stacking is not something easily dealt with. If the teams are even in player count, it becomes more difficult to "fix" teams if a large player-skill disparity arises. Turning off autobalance only makes things worse, so that's not an option.

What ultimately needs to happen (beyond everyone hitting auto assign) is for the better players to police themselves in picking teams. I'll often see who's on each team at the start and try to pick the team that I think will need more help (usually the team that aquataine or Drisel AREN'T on ) I enjoy the challenge and think closely fought games are more fun than blow-outs of an outmatched opponent.

Is there anything the server can do? Not really. Is there anything the players can do? Well, get better at the game ....but also try and even the teams as much as possible, which is a very CLR thing to do

I'm with Carbon on that. I usually pick the other team, too. Not that I'm a great player, but I hold my own and usually in the top 3-4 on my team, so I try to help out the other team and like the challenge.

I honestly dont think anyone is a superstar unless they can handle the workload when the teams are uneven....

I say Drisel + 56K + Demon against 25 ought to do it.

I wouldn't mind jumping on a 5-6 man team of skilled players and being against a whole other team one time. I think it'd be pretty fun.

You can't really do anything if one of the teams just has better players. IMHO, the CLR servers are comparatively well balanced. I have been on other servers (sometimes the CLR HQ server is empty when I'm trying to get my HQ fix ) where players intentionally stack the teams. I'll notice our team is losing, check the scoreboard and see that the teams are extremely unbalanced. I complained once, and this was the response: "STFU and wait for autobalance to fix it." It seemed that autobalance was slow to correct the situation. Isn't autobalance supposed to kick in immediately when the teams become unbalanced? Can it be set up to delay?

Demon, Aquatine, Rogue, and another Top player were on one team
yesterday.

It was BRUTAL.

I auto, and get what I get. I'm not going to make a huge difference no
matter what team I'm on, I just like to play.

The thing is, If I'm on The Uber team, there isn't many LIVE targets
to kill, as they usually get to them first.. So it is Much better to be
on the "Other" team, even with the headhunters coming for ya.

Teamwork outweighs individual skill. I played for some time yesterday with most of these and other good players, and they lost as often as they won. If you work together as a team, communicate objectives and targets, and go out and have fun, you'll have a good chance of winning.

I have the perfect solution stand behind me and carbon. They are not really that hard to kill/beat. Before I started on my gold weapons(which I just finished last night), I pwned them. Of course they get me too but they are the few who really pose a threat to me. I love going to the oppsite side and shooting them up. You have to remember that they are all rushers. And ALL rushers are the only threat in the game. Snipers are annoying but there's nothing like ahve one rusher going in and one by one taking out the whole team, causing that map flip. 56K is great at doing that.

Other than the three mentioned in the post..I'd watch out for me, Carbon and Aquataine. Get us on the same team and you get the same result as 56K, Drisel, and Rogue7.

Another good tip. If you'll notice, most of the decent players are "all rushers". That's the way I play. I might be the first one to get killed, but I like it when the first few seconds of the round my team hears "We've taken the lead". I also like to rush into the crowd of oncoming unsuspecting enemies and after the map change, they sometimes forget what the enemy uniform looks like. You can run around knifing people right and left, and usually can get into a wad of snipers who are setting up camp and take out several of them. Along with that, you also get to be the first to run into the enemy front line while they are cooking off nades trying to get an early kill. There's usually two or three up front tossing nades and you can take them out pretty easily unnoticed.

It may not work for everyone, especially if you have a slower connection and don't spawn really quick, but thats the way that is most effective for me.

I don't recall Drisel, but 56k and Rouge are full fledge chargers. They get killed a lot also. They are always going forward and looking for a fight.

My solution is to fasten up a noob toob and start noobin.


Process step-by-step to disrupt elite player teams

1. Noob someone
2. Noob the guy behind him
3. Run away FAST
4. Throw Stun Grenade
5. Empty your pockets of grenades in randome directions


I killed Carbon several times last night this way- and usually he has a muzzle to my head the moment I spawn *shrug*

MAN!!!! that must've been you yesterday.

I got home and played a bit. Second map I got to was BOG and I died 4 times in a ROW right at spawn on the Marines side. I was like....damn....this is gonna hurt. I did end up with a 2 K/D ratio and came in second, but I was scared for a minute there.

Now I have got to create/change some of my classes and rename a few of them to particular maps instead of the weapon loadouts.

Usually I got for you aqua, to make up for all the deaths I had from your noobtube. But lately, I've seen Todd and sorry to say I like killing him b/c of what he comments after I do it. It makes me laugh every time and never gets old. He might not share my happiness but it's like a one way love issue.
