Cain's Lair doesnt like my PB

Sounds like something with the server doesn't jive up, especially if you can connect and play on other PB servers. MAKE SURE that the other servers you can connect to successfully are definitely PB enabled servers. If they are not, then you won't get any PB errors. If you have a problem with another server that IS pb protected, then it's on your end. If you can connect and play on any other PB server then there's something with the CLR servers. I doubt that helps any, but double check to make sure the servers you can connect to are PB.

Nevermind Aqua, I see the other server you played on was, in fact, a punkbuster enabled server.

It is also a TRACKED server, as well. Not that being tracked has anything to do with it, but it has to be something to do with a firewall rule on your end blocking PB from connecting to Cains servers, OR , there is something wrong with CLR.

From what I've read, EVERYTHING you have described is pointing to your version of Punkbuster being NEWER than what is currently installed on the server. Maybe the server didn't auto-update PB.

When you enter the game, bring up the console with the ~ key and type
pb_security 0 and hit enter. That will supposedly allow you to play on a server that is running an older version of PB. I have not tried this to see if it works in COD4 but it may be worth a try.

Status update yet again:
I just got on the HQ server a couple minutes ago, and pb didnt kick me. I was looking at the logs and my pb received packets from the master server and checked my cvars. So hopefully it stays this way and wont kick me out from the tdm server

Well just got off from the tdm server. It didnt punt me off. It could be the auto updater not being nice. I dunno. Well, whatever issues I had before are now gone

The only thing I have seen new so far it a message when I join that it is authorizing my session. This takes about 2-3 seconds then it lets me in the game.
