Problems getting the heli to work

Its not often, but ..*gasp* .. I occasionally get the required kills in a row to obtain the choppa, but when I go to activate it, it says choppa unavailable and I lose the damn thing !!

WHAAA ... ??? Anyone clue me in here ?? I thought I had a key unbound or something, but unless I'm missing the obvious, its not happening. I'm fairly certain there aren't other choppers in the air at the time, so what could be wrong here ?


PS - Shipment, knives only is a blast. Thanks to BA for the suggestion yesterday, if only we could have gotten others to participate. I was able to rank up just on that one silly map !

I've had it happen a few times. I'm starting to think it's from either pushing the use button too quickly, or pushing it repeatedly.

Getting people to participate in gentleman's agreements is an exercise in futility. We had 12 people at the start of a TDM match yesterday on Downpour, and tried to keep people from using the mounted MGs. Didn't work. At all.

I hate getting stuck woth a heli that I can't get up. I so wish there was a way to reset it.

L_Mo, you've run into it as well ?? I've tried different things .. waiting for the hand animation to finish, ducking in a corner and hoping to not get ambushed ... repeated button presses (similar to the C4 remote detonation bug).

Nothing works !!! In fact, when it happened Saturday, I was left with a gun that was empty, but I COULD NOT SWAP WEAPONS !! Nor could I switch to my knife !!! Yanno what is really funny, having an enemy standing 2 feet in front of you, and you are keenly aware that he has no functional weapon ...

HMMM.. I haven't seen that problem.. Even though I have had problems getting one up but I repeatedly pressed the #6 key to get it up but the round ends before I get the damned thing up.

It is usually because someone else, like myself, is sitting there hiding and pressing the #6 key. I hate the heli. I'd rather have another airstrike.

You can only have one heli up for your team at a time. If there is already a heli in the air it will not let you call one in. As soon as the other one dies, you can call it.

Dead, I did post that in my original post ... there weren't any heli's up at the time, unless it wasn't even showing up on the mini-map.

There can only be one heli up at a time...it doesn't matter if it is your team or the enemy. If the enemy is sitting there repeatedly pressing #6 then you probably won't get one up unless you are doing the same, which in turn causes you to miss half the round trying to get the damned thing up. Airstrikes are not nearly as hard to get up as a heli for some reason. I usually get my five kill streak and go kamikazi to get killed so I don't go past the 6 kill mark. LOL.. If you see me running into a crowd of enemies chances are - in about 10 seconds there will be an airstrike right where I died.

I have no problem geting mine in the air. Gratned that I actually shoot one down to get mine there faster. Then I go prone and wait like 4-6 second and hit the #6 key and *whoof whoof whoof* comes the heli. Not to be confused with a dog *woof woof*! lol
