Anyways, they have these oddball rules, figured that these rules were near impossible to enforce, but aparently, they were enforcing them.

Some made sense, some did not.

Like nade spamming and such

Sprinting was ONLY allowed if you were underfire.

And the one that really irritated me (and the admin was getting onto me about it everytime)

Wast his....when you fire at an enemy you HAVE to use your sights (right click and aim) no "shooting from the hip" as they called it.

Kind of easier said than done, ESP when the enemy comes out RIGHT in front of you, I'm just going to open fire, not take the time to right click and shoot.

I eventually got booted, because there were times when I shot at someone and I couldn't remember if I used sights or not.

Anyone agree? Lame server?

And they kept spamming the screen with some Macro with said rules...drove me nuts.

Bah! Let such places have their barmy rules. It makes us appreciate the kind of server we have here. It also ensures their server will lie empty in no time at all.

Does COD4 have ranked servers? If so then that one would not be allowed to be ranked because they limit you from playing the game the way it was intended. If it was unranked then they could put up whatever nutty rules they wanted. Kinda like knife servers in 2142.

OK that is the biggest BS I have ever heard of. I have seen servers have crazu rules (like no cussing, who would enforce that! Oh, wait... never mind ) Seriously, though, why do they care if you sprint or shoot from the hip? No sense...

yeah, I felt like I was back in Elementary School where we were arunning in the halls, and the teacher would say, "NO RUnning!" then we'd slow down to a fast pace.

And I would come back with a valid arguement, when I actually DID have my sights up...

Then I got the "Don't argue" Even though my arguement was valid.

Yeah, I know. EA couldn't care less about knife servers and this is what we get for playing anywhere else.

I played on a Hardcore Realism server before Cain's got online.

Using your sights, no blind nade spamming, was part of the rules.
Hard to enforce, but it was their server. Don't remember if sprinting was
part of it, but sprinting would get you killed anyway, so noone did it.
Heavy handed admin presence. THEY liked it that way.

Different servers, different rules. That's why Cain's servers are so much
more fun. Just play nice, keep it clean, and have fun, why play anywhere
else?

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume the server was 50/50 yet again. I was this close |> <| to a rank and reward, and found the Lair full, so I had to resort to netting my promo elsewhere, but that was one time in the past two weeks, so we all have our lapses of judgment from time to time.
