Is there a demo available?

Hey Guys, I haven't been around in a while. so long in fact that i didn't know the 2142 server had been taken down (although i read the BF2 revival thread and was very very happy, might have to dust of my M4).

I've heard so much good about COD 4 that I'm seriously considering getting it. However I haven't tried it yet and games are a little pricey so I was wondering if there had been a Demo of Cod 4 produced so i could test it before trying it out.

There is a demo available but only for single player mode.

Unfortunately, you will miss out on the buck wild killing on multiplayer. It will give you a pretty good idea of how the game works, though. In the DEMO, you can play the first level on the highest difficulty and still not get the full spectrum of punishment.

If you are into first person shooters, then you will not waste your money. I'd check to make sure my machine will run it before I purchased it, however.

Recommended Specs
CPU: 2.4 GHz dual core or better
RAM: 1G for XP; 2G for Vista
Hard Drive: 8GB of free space
Video card: 3.0 Shader Support recommended. Nvidia Geforce 7800 or better or ATI Radeon X1800 or better

My own machine doesn't meet those specs but I play just fine.

I'm usually pretty big on Modern warfare FPSs so i see no reason why i won't like this. However this is also an attempt to get a family member hooked on the game so I'll try the demo first.

Plus the storyline on COD is usually pretty good.
