I dont play this game anymore simply because of the type of attitudes that have prevailed recently.

I'm now playing BF2, and I gotta tell you, the grass isnt greener on the other side.
Over there you have a more complex and tactical environment that is much more interesting, but the learning curve is steep.
In addition to that, you have an element of snobbery from the veterans, and people expect you to know better even though you cannot.

Games are only entertainment- and if you aren't entertained, then you are inflicting your own sick sense of corporal punishment.

The good news is this: You have options.

There are 5-6 online games that we are all involved in that you can discover via other threads in our Forums pages. Pick one and go with it.

If the cost of a new game is a problem, then unfortunately I dont know what to tell you. That's a personal aspect that we just don't address here.

I hope you find a way to enjoy COD4 or perhaps join us in another game.

Hamster, if you're new to the BF2 environment, just let someone know. We're willing to help out folks new to the game, and I can give you pointers on a lot of stuff, to say nothing for those who have continued to play even after Cain pulled down the server the first time. The learning curve is steep, but with a good squad and the use of VOIP, one can pick up a lot very fast.

with any game like cod4 that is massively popular you are going to find bad apples, no matter what server it is. we get new players all the time, just think back at what made you join cains lair, the reasons you joined and that will change your mind a little bit i hope. and also just b/c your frustrated with the game doesn't mean you have to leave cain's lair. man ive been here through many of games. right now i'm not playing any game on lair wit the exception of the occasional cod4 or insurgency, but i'm still here b/c i love the people and friends. we all get frustrated, but please don't associate bad apples with the people that frequent cain's lair. oh and one more thing, i know its frustrating that we have the same name and i'm sexier than you, but thats life lol j/k man. just take a breather and jump back in! don't forget, when people are being asshats on the other team you can always just shoot them in the face

I hate them more than you do !!!! It might interest you to know that one of those guys has already had 8 different GUIDs banned - for cheating. I had not updated my PBBans scans this weekend or we would have given him number 9.

I won't post a link for them. but, if you do a search for the 1 shot kill clan [1SK] you will find that they are all about hacking every game they play. IMHO they should be banned on sight.
