New maps are coming!

it looks like the new maps need the patch to run, so its safe to say theyll be bundled.

"In addition to the map pack hitting, PC Players will be receiving the 1.6 Patch for the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that will add support for the new maps"

Just cause the new patch supports the new maps, doesn't mean (unfortunately) that the map pack is embedded into the new patch...

If the new maps are embedded into the new patch, I'll likely run all of them and maybe keep one of the old maps until we figure out which of the new maps re great, and which ones suck...

We could try that but it might have adverse effects. New server stays unpopular due to nobody knowing it's online or the current server dies due to no new maps and everyone moving to the new server. Maybe just try one server but mix old and new maps?

I hadn't thought of that. I really hope they're part of a patch now. I still love some of the current maps.

I totally understand that. I do like having 1 server to run all of the new maps. Obviously theres going to be a big following of the new maps. It would be nice to keep the server populated if we did scrolling messages or something to let folks know of the old and new server ip's

well, I'm going to assume that the new server will be running the new maps for only about 2 weeks max. I would hope that would give enough data to see which maps keep the server full and which don't. After that point in time, it'll be like giving the old server a jumpstart once in awhile (no more then 2-3 days I would think) so that it stays at the top, once it's stable again, then it'll be better then before. So tell me... can something be better then something that is better then sliced bread? Because that's what the new server is going to be like i'd bet!
