If it ain't broke why fix it
Server is nearly full even in the day time so why would ya mess with something already working
Don't think I'd go anywhere else just cause cainslair runs a tight punk buster but it wouldn't be the same
Would like to see ya set the ping limit to 225 though ( get rid of a lot of the lag caused by people coming in with 400 and 500 pings)
If ya run FF run reflective that could be a hoot. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

I say convert HQ to hardcore, hardcore just works better with HQ.

Hardcore mode with TDM is not good... hardcore mode is more for HQ Sabotage or S&D, i usually play hardcore mode because of my ping -- is not big advantage to have lower ping on hardcore mode-- and believe me there a lot of people playing it... but maybe mixed game types can be cool too.

At least put the HQ server up Cain, is not showing on my browser

I love hardcore but not for TDM. I like it a lot for Dom. Personally like Sgt. Fury said, if it aint broke, dont fix it. I would switch HQ for HC Dom.

I don't know what hard core servers you guys have played on, but hard core TDM with friendly fire is great, no nade spam ,no screwin around. I play on a 32 man server thats packed all the time I hardly play the kiddie servers anymore

well, my problem with it is really not nade spam, because nade spam is also horrible in regular, but its the spraying that turns me off. Noobs with no skill can just spray their P90 or whatever gun and kills people that can really aim. Although it says "hardcore", i think regular is more manly when it comes to testing your combat skills and makes you a much better player too.

I agree. I get annoyed in HC when I get killed by errant spray. It's not the aimed ones that bother me, just the errant ones. Oh and it promotes more camping I've noticed. Of course I like the livilier style we have been accustomed to here at Cainlair TDM server so I'd hate to see it change.

Since you can control the hardware from downtown, why not try a hardcore/ game variant and see?

If it doesn't work, you can always cancel it! But I would say leave the Team Death Match server alone,.. it is GREAT like it is!

I enjoy realism, and hardcore is more realistic. There is a lot of appeal to a run-and-gun style server, but with more realism, I think we'll see slower play and more teamwork, which is sorely missing. As it is, it's every man for himself. Just run around and shoot stuff.

When I first came to Cain's Lair after I got Unreal 2004, I gravitated to this server primarily because people actually worked as a team. They used the chat feature. That doesn't happen with COD4 and the current setup.
