Not Working

Ya, earlier I wiped my hard drive due to a virus ( that's why I haven't been on) and I reinstalled all of my things that I could install. Guess what? Single-player CoD4 works perfectly fine. Multi-player won't work at all. It opens asking for safe mode, goes to a black screen, then the loading icon for cursor appears, and says : Windows Vista has found a problem...

Anyone have an idea whats going on?

And also my accounts and stuff where erased. So if i do get on ill be {CLR} Soap level one..

well...

1.) you're using vista.
2.) you've installed all of your motherboard and video drivers back in right? Nothing is blocking the program from running? What about Punkbuster, is that installed?

Yes all of the GeForce (what ever its called) updates and vista updates.

Im reinstaling it. I think it wasnt working cause i chose custom not typical. Hope it works!

well, our networking people finally doubled our speed but that probally has nothing to do with it

Sounds like some setting is configured wrong for your multiplayer files. Either that or a bad registry entry.

When did u install the game? if u had a windows system restore point u could go back and then reinstall.

after 4 re-installs of the game? Hum... I'm thinking it might be something else.

Lets see... Run a virus scan, spybot search and destory, along with ad-aware. You know, give the computer a good clean-up. While you're at it you might as well defrag and run ccleaner. This will at least eliminate any viruses and spyware/malware in the computer.

Um yes I have used AVG, nothing, also spy bot is said to actually do harm to your computer. I can't restore anything since I wiped my hard drive so there are no restore points except after I got all drivers before I installed any programs.
I need to get Ad-aware but the one my dad gave me wont run on vista.
