I saw a commercial for it just now and it looked like WW2 stuff. Are they serious? CoD didn't really do good until they brought in the modern warfare... please tell me they aren't going back to ww2 with flamethrowers, bazookas, WW2 planes...

but seriously, are they sure they want to throw planes and other vehicles into the mix? Modern Warfare is chaotic enough.

Im getting the same feeling I had when 2142 came out after bf2........ugh(2142 never made it a week on my hdd). Im also worried since Treyarch is making this one. Not that they suck, just that IW has had better games.

A good thing though is that the game will focus more on the war with Japan so it will be more jungle than some busted European town over and over.

Its always the same thing, just repackaged in a sense, at least they are mixing it up a lil with the Japan side of things.

Japanese empire or Nazi empire I could honestly care less. I want MiG's flying overhead, Cobras firing missiles at me, the latest in modern warfare technology. I'm sick of using an out of date M14 or G3 type gun with a stick as a grenade and the chance of a oh no scary WWII propeller plane about to shoot me.

I think they are making a big mistake by making this another WWII game. Sorry guys, but I'll see you in CoD6. There's no way I'm going to buy another WWII game.

for a fact "the whole cod community hated that the cod series when into modern warfare" yet still a game to get used to with all the spamming it has. im glad its going back to WW2. but even that wont encourage me in buying it. dont get me wrong i like WW2 game but most of their MP mode ended up been screw up and only thing i liked about cod series were their SP campaigns.

I pretty much agree with you there Ruthless, previous COD was great SP, and poor MP. And I bought COD4 expecting to only play the SP and not go online. But I think they may have finally gotten the MP almost perfect. I hope that it translates over to COD5. I'll certainly buy if for nothing more than the SP, and hope that the MP is just as good as COD4 is now.
