help with pb PLZ! I BEG

i am so damn mad i cant even play CoD4 any more cuz punkbuster keeps kicking me cuz pnkBsterB.exe failed to work iv tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it iv tried uninstalling pb and reinstalling it and all i get it the same thing just kicks me 60secs after i join a server it kicks me so on the uninstallpb.exe is lets u test pb to see if every thing is alright with it and all i get is
and my CoD4 pb is uptodate

to fix the problem....

uninstall punkbuster

go to this link

Extract all the files into a folder on your desktop (I named mine PBSetup)
Open the folder
double click pbsetup.exe

When it is done, point it at the file folder where COD4 is.

I had that happening earlier today. I did just what is said above with a little tweaking of the services.

I uninstalled punkbuster and all that. restarted computer. installed pbsetup and pbsvc, then went into the services menu from administrative tools under my start menu, and had to set pnkbstrb service from disabled to automatic, and then started the service.

that's kinda badly put, and could be clearer. I'm trying to help, but i'm very tired. if that works, excellent, if it doesn't, i'll type better after I sleep.

im haveing the same prob,uninstalled pb and cod4 reinstalled and same prob again.and yes i used the evenbalance tools,still no worky

This may sound stupid,.. but once you update everything,... I mean once all the installing is complete, make sure you do a total re-start of your system. I am like most of you who never shut down their systems,....

BUT, I was cussing a blue streak a couple of days ago and posted about PB as well and I did a hard re-boot and VOILA,... I am noob-tubing again!

I updated PB the other night and it worked great. Last night it wouldn't work at all. Re-booted and it works again.

Try to do a manual update, you should find a pbsetup.exe in a PB folder in your COD4 folders. Run that. Be sure everything is up to date, and then re-boot.
