    How do you "fast reload?"

This, I don't know, may be considered an exploit. I myself do, because I highly doubt it's suppose to be in the game.

What I'm talking about is firing your weapon, reloading, than all of a sudden able to fire straight once the clip touches the gun, even if it's not locked in and cocked.

I asked before about this, and people said "oh it's lag" and I provided video evidence that it is *NOT* lag.

I considered it an exploit, because it takes away the use of the sleight of hand perk, and of course in reality no one can all of a sudden fire an empty gun and it appear straight in front of them.

So, what I'm asking, people that do this *including some CLR's I watched in Kill Cam*, how do you "fast reload"? Or if the admins don't want us doing this, can we at least add it to the messages that repeat themselves saying "no fast reload exploiting"?

No, I'm not complaining, but I would either like to have a fair fight and also know how to use this trick, or have the people that use it be removed or warned. So don't consider this a "deadly is just bitching because he got pwned". If that was the case, I'd be ranting about Martyrdom or random nade throwing. I just want the even the odds. I've died lots of times because someone pops out and I'm reloading my gun and I get knifed or my head gets blown off...

I've always wondered this myself and have been told the same thing everytime...it has something to do with the packet flow so what we r seeing is not what is actually occuring or something like that

      I'm pretty sure it's a killcam glitch.

its not a fast reload, basically you cancel your reload, and fire with the remaining bullets of your last clip.
you can do this manually, by pressing the "switch weapon" twice really quickly
        or
you can script it and bind it to a key like this:
bind E "weapnext; wait 2; weapnext"

so, in the middle of a reload, make sure your finger is ready to press E key to interrupt ur reload and shoot. So when your last clip is close to empty, it probably wont do you any good.
Just my opinion, i dont think its an exploit, because we can do it manually, and the script isnt really anything fancy.

Also you can only cancel it if you are before halfway to a full reload. Once you past a point it doesn't matter and no amount of canceling it will stop it.

After Halfway you will be forced to finish the reload process. I try not to use it but it happens. You can do it manually so it might have been intended. If you haven't really started reloading why couldn't you stop it and fire? There ya go man, now you are in the skinny.

After half way point your mag will be full and you can fire away again, it is a glitch that can not be fixed. And I HATE people who do it. I usually stop my reload with a knife and then just shoot the last bullet i have.

And thanks deadlyassassin for bring that up, i keep dying and i keep thinking it is something wrong with my game, not a script that you can add to the game. How cold they allow u to add custom scripts? what is wrong with them?

Touchy subject. Yes, I have seen the re-load glitch, and it has been discussed many times before. It just is something we live with.

With Kill cam lag, Packet losses, Programming lag, Computer lag, Internet lag, and all the other bumps in the road, some actions will look real funny or impossible, but we have all seen them. When you are observing one of our regular uber players, and it happens with them, (And you know they are squeaky clean), you just jot it down as another screwy COD4 glitch and move on.

It is a glitch and not lag. Basically the game "reloads" your bullets before the reload animation is finished, but it will force you to finish the animation before you can shoot. The trick is that you can swap weapons during the animation which will cancel it. When you switch back the animation is canceled so you can fire away like usual.

I dont know if the admins want me to post how to do it so until I get conformation from someone I wont post the video I found.

Not necessary to post how. We know how, it is just another in a long list of things that look funny in CoD4. Carry on, nothing to see, move along.

I have had this work for me before mainly when i am in the middle of a reload and have to knife some1... basically it works with smg's and lmg's, the lmg glitch i dont know how to do but with smg's if you dont entirly empty your clip you can do a fast reload and as soon as the new clip touches the gun start firing and it will shoot as if you toaly reloaded

Thanks for the thread. I have always wondered about this, and assumed it was a killcam glitch. I've never been one to take advantage of a glitch, but that might have to change.

Other games have had this same problem. Any one remember the CS Quick Switch? After firing the AWP if you switched to your pistol and back you were reloaded. It was much faster and those who were extremely good with the AWP became even more lethal.
