deep impact perk, worth it?

hello ppl
im kinda curious about this perk.
some say its a waste of slot, but i really dont think there is any good yellow perk anyway.
So, here is my question, is it worth using?
a little bout my style, i use MP5 with a silencer. i just drastically changed my play style, now i rarely use hipfire, so steady aim isnt worth it and i really wanna take off my martyrdom.
i also noticed that rye uses deep impact too.
I appreciate it if any of the perk users want to share opinions

also, please dont recommend other perks. Just give comments on deep impact

I'm not to sure about it myself, I have noticed when the class I use with it on, it does kill quicker.
But its debatable.
With out actually seeing X did Y damage to Z its always hard to tell.

But from my POV, be it 'subliminal' or not it does make me play better.

i dont think there is an increase of damage from direct shots.
but im really curious about the damage it does through a wall.
Im the kind of guy that does all the math in my head about each bullet i shoot and how many it takes to kill in each combat, but the lack of mathematical info about wall penetration really kills me. arghhhhhhh

Personally. I only use Deep impact with the snipers so I can hit that guy who's riffle is sticking out the window but his body isn't.

the only time i use it unless sniping,is with a light machine gun.i just use it to spray buildings.i do shoot from the hip though.i like marty or steady aim with the smaller weapons.

I've had the same questions, but figure that deep impact would only serve to increase damage behind walls or other enemy players...not sure it's worth the cost of a perk. The only way to find out would be to repeat an identical situation, maybe have some test dummies. I'll keep my conditioning, instead, so I can run into trouble quicker.

Deep Impact is in some ways sort of neutralized by having a silencer, which slows down round velocity and lowers damage. If you're using a silencer, don't bother with Deep Impact--you're likely more into stealth, and shouldn't be spraying rounds through a wall anyway. Better for you to run in behind them.

If you're not using a silencer, it would still not be ideal to go with for an MP5. But for other weapons, especially light machine guns and assault rifles, it's not only useful, but fun. Nothing like plugging guys on Vacant before they hit doorways, or shooting some guy through a way as he ducks or side-steps to reload.
