I have noticed that in hardcore, with a bolt-action rifle, and stopping power, it still takes two shots to kill a lot of the time. All in all, hardcore doesn't reduce health enough.

Right, hardcore seems to only hide your HUD and nothing else.... I kinda wanted to get a one shot kill and it is only if you shoot the chest and the head

It's still beta thou, so hopefully they'll fix it... I'm going to post in their forums right now to let them know.
