1. Go to callofduty.com
2. Register for an account
3. Wait a couple of hours or maybe a day
4. Check your account and you should find a field that says "Beta Key" with 16 letter/number combos, or you can also wait for the email they send you with the code.
5. In the email, they should include mirrors for download. The fastest one for me was "WorthDownloading.com" since no one likes that site nor downloads from it lol. (You don't have to wait for the code to download the beta, start downloading right now so you can play right after you get the code)
6. Come get knifed by me
Downloaded the file correctly and everything seems good, but can't run the game. When I click the icon on my desktop to run it, it says something like:
Could not run because D3DX9_37.dll was not found. Re-installation could correct that.
No, leave the setup.exe. Go to add/remove and uninstall CoD:WaW. Then go to directX's website and download the latest version. Restart your computer after installing Dx. Install the game from the same setup.exe and if it doesn't work then you are one unlucky sonofagun
The DX9.0c update from MS fixed my issues .. whatta crock o' crap. Still screwing around with DX9 on a DX10 rig ??? Color me less than impressed that this beta made it out the door with this bug.
