Meh, whats with all the console kiddies on here. Everytime I hear about a 360 game being bought I want to throw up a little in my mouth. THEY ARE THE REASON WE HAVE PORTS IN THE FIRST PLACE. "pant.. pant" sucks in air , shakes head.. deep breath. Ok.. rant over.

First things first, I think Treyarch watched everything go down with MW2 and really dont want to alienate themselves any more than they all ready have with WaW. I liked the game myself, as I know some didnt. And I played it as little as a week ago. It did have dedicated servers and mod tools. Which made for some cool maps and custom games.

Seems they are trying to do as much with this one. But I still think its ported. Just easier for them that way I guess. Time will tell once it hits the street. If the modders can do anything with it they will. Its what they do. Bad thing is you have to get a server from them. No independants. That can be either good or bad. Have to wait and see.

It's still gonna be similar to MW2. No gettin around that it seems. We'll just have to wait and see. Thats my attitude for now.

I'm still not getting this game, but I did preorder Fallout New Vegas yesterday.

If you're all futzing around with Steam for any of these new games, they just added the Age of Wonders series. The first one wasn't bad and the other two are supposed to be pretty good, as close as any game to the awesome Master of Magic. Consider checking them out if you haven't before.

As it stands right now I'd say I'm 85% that we WILL run a server for this game.

My 2 cents...

CoD decided to buck the system and went Console to PC porting in their titles, and not vise versa. Even if they flipflop and start going the other way around, they still did it.

FPS's of this type are NOT meant to be player hosted.

Even if they come around and change what they have been doing the last few releases and DO offer dedicated server support, I will never ever buy another CoD again.

Other reasons behind my decision:

Compared to every other FPS, no other franchise has supported spawncamping as strongly as CoD. Static spawn points, and large rewards for kill streaks. What's worse, most CoD diehards say this sort of douchebaggery is acceptable 'since it can be done in game without hacking'. I wish that argument worked on other things... how about 'it should be ok to take your big screen TV if I walk into your house because the door was left unlocked'. See? Just because you CAN doesn't make it right.

I've seen more hackers in CoD games than any other FPS franchise... including those using TF2's built in support for VAC safe wallhacking. If you're going to hack, do it in a lan game. Don't bring it online. The only acceptable hack is the one that gets you permanently banned instantly by VAC, PB, or whatever watchdog is in use.

They are trying to add eye candy to help improve the turnout, but because of so much effort at adding eye candy and toys (literally... rc cars), I'm holding my expectations REALLY.... and I mean REALLY low.

Thinking back on CoD MW I find that I don't like the game play. Especially if we're running TDM. I get very bored with it. I'm not gonna buy it.

what if Cain threw in some Objective Games? I like those better now, Domination, Search and Destroy (long wait if you die though), Demolition (my favorite now), CTF, and they added some new game modes which sound appealing

I think the new ones like sticks and stones, bullet in the chamber and gungame should be set to a #2 slot if Cain does get servers. The main gamemodes ie. S&D, HQ, TDM are going to be the servers that attract the most players.
