    Players speak out: "Ban molotovs"

    Two Danish players Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen and Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander set out to prove to tournament organizers that Molotov cocktails don't belong in competitive matches. To achieve that goal they called upon numerous players from top teams and gathered their opinions about this matter.

    "When I started playing csgo I was very positive to the usage of molotovs, but when I had a chance to try it out in a competitive match I realised that it was too strong. You can stop a rush entirely by throwing one molotov and disabling the whole site, for example if you hold the b site on dust2 and they rush, if you throw a molotov in the tunnel they cant rush through it because you take too much damage from it and it will allow your teammates to rotate before they even got a chance to enter the b site. And as T in a afterplant situation if u spam the bomb with molotovs there is nothing the CTs can do."

      good article. I would say after reading it to lower the timer on the fire and reduce the damage.

      The one thing I am not seeing is how can anyone slow the rush when it comes against 30 people in one location.

      If you try it I will bet that the better T's will win 80% of the matches. I know CT's are wining most but need to get it closer to 50 %.

      You will also bring up the amount of flashes. Currently I don't think they are used much. Actually something I usually don't buy because they hinder the team I am on more then anything else.

      They do alot of referencing things where people have trained in a specific way. As not having that type of organization for us how will if effect our play here?

      Also like the AWP question. How many people will stop playing here because the moltov is removed from the game.

        *IF* the major tournaments start banning the incendiaries I'll consider it.

        I wish I could simply delay their use on both sides ....

        Perhaps I may limit the number per team that can be purchased.

          Does anyone know of any servers that have implemented molotov bans? I am curious to see if it has had any effect on the population of the server.... or do they continue to be full?

            Using B Dust II as an example. If you flash the tunnel and then throw an incendiary you will burn them and they will not even realize it.

              With regard to the Cain's Lair server, the problem is anyone can buy a molly, from up to 16 on one team. The targeted mode of Classic Competitive however is only 5v5 which means far less of this spam around.

              Mollies are part of the game but IMO were never envisioned for this many players.

                    32 anything is alot. Remember the rush can happen both ways and sometimes its the T's where it can push back the CT rush.

                    Example. While on the T' side of nuke and rushing to B outside.
                    Now if your good on aim.. and I think I am ok. You throw a smoke, then while running throw a molotov near hanger. You might hit someone for like 5 damage but allows you to keep rushing. People in that area can easily run around it but are scared.
