    Mic and speaking in game

So I have been told that my mic makes a buzzing sound. Not sure exactly what it sounds like - is it anything like Jin's?

I am not sure what causes this. I have a new turtle beach x12. Never damaged or anything. I do not have any other noise in the background of my apartment. No fans, TV, stereo or any other devices turned on as I play CSGO. What could it be? Am I just stuck with this problem or could this be due to some type of setting?

If it makes any difference, I have also used the same headset on my xbox and my buddy says it is clear and makes no buzzing noise.

Let me know if you have any suggestions (besides "buy a new mic")

I would say its probably your mobo. I had a similar problem a couple years ago, went through 5 or 6 mic's and nothing was helping. Then I replaced my mobo which had my soundcard aswell and the problem was fixed.

A buddy of mine also suggested a power supply on the edge of death, sending spiratic amounts of power.

      What is a mobo?

I know I'm going to get laughed at for not knowing what it is short for

Interference from something; often it comes from another USB device such as a webcam etc.

Lol sorry I should have been more specific. Azalea is right too, it could be interference as well.

If anyone here plays often with me, is it all the time or is it clear sometimes.

I am thinking it might be my cellphone. Sometimes it makes the TV make weird noises if it is too close lol. Not sure if that is the exact problem, but I will try keeping the cell off my desktop.

Have you tried your mic on anything else? Another game, teamspeak etc?

Nope, at least not on PC. As mentioned earlier, I did not have any problems when using it on my XBOX.

                    I agree, I think it's your Motherboard.

That kind of noise can be from any unshielded electrical item. A failing PSU is a great example as is the Mobo and phone. You need to try to eliminate the easier ones first. The Mobo will be the hardest to isolate.

Do you also have another place you can plug it in? Is it a 3.5mm or USB?

It has both the pink and green for mic and headphones, plus a USB, so it is plugged in 3 slots

There is your problem, I suspect....

Either the analog plugs, OR the USB.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
