Always hated these false/misleading tracers in go..here's a youtube video showing it.

do i need to enter this every time i enter a new/different server or just simply every time i start up GO, or will it save all of these settings?

You can put them into autoexec.cfg in your csgo\cfg directory.

Oh and you might as well set anisotropic filtering to 16x, most cards have done it with no hit for years.

            another tip:

            bind "f9" bench_start
            bind "f10" bend_end

use this to run benchmark test. I bind them because console drops fps a lot for some reason. it can distort your actual ingame average to open it and type this.

            O FORGOT
run as ur own server because u have to have
            sv_cheats 1
            to use benchmark
once u start it, run around then stop it and open console for a report of average.

sorry for being out kiddos, installed SSD drive and shit went whacky on me had to handle that, all sorted out and running beautifully. this is the good stuff here:

open steam > library > right click CSGO > preference or maybe options who knows what menu item it is figure it out > launch options. copy & paste.

-useforcedmparms -noforcemparms -console -novid -freq 120 +exec autoexec.cfg -dxlevel 90 +mat_vignette_enable 0 -preload -tickrate 128 -noforcemaccel -high -noforcemspd -nojoy -noaafonts -threads 4

-useforcedmparms -noforcemparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd = all for cutting off mouse extras so you get cleaner raw input. um -noforcemparms or -useforcedmparms was the source force command, dont remember which so i leave both. u need them in the order i have because you need one to use the next. so keep them in same order 1,2,3,4.

-console = for console open at start

-novid = no video on boot

-freq 120 = for 120 refresh rate, change if you only have 60

+mat_vignette_enable 0 = not sure if still matters, turned off something in the sky i believe? did see FPS boost when i originally started using this.

-high = run CSGO as high CPU priority

-nojoy = doesnt load any of the joystick files saves ram.

-noaafonts = doesnt apply anti-aliasing to fonts, loosens up some GPU for important processing.

-threads 4 = im not a genius but CSGO uses 4 cores but 3 threads? think of hyperthreading. its a 4 core CPU that is 8 threads. set threads to however many u have and it will utilize the extra threads boost performance

-dxlevel 90 = set dxlevel to 9 nice FPS increase smooth for 570gtx may differ on which level u want depending on your graphics card. 70? 81 90 95 98 10, 90 is 9.0, 95 is 9.5 DX9 Shader Model , so on so forth wiki it, i dont have time to explain everything.

-preload = force preloading, less in game loading better performance.

-waveonly = forces PCM over directsound output - refer to http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?p=661985 for information relating to the effects this could have on ur specific OS. k pz

I researched these myself, drudged through webpages, forums, steam. all that. on dxlevel, 90 is best mid performance and quality i believe if u have fps issues try 81 or 95, people get better performance with one or other.
https://developer.valvesoftware.com/...rectX_Versions in depth explanation of dxlevels and comparative pictures.

ones i dont use anymore but may be useful: -32bit = forces 32bit mode on 64bit OS (i did seem to feel a smoother running game, cant remember what benchmarking reported. might test it out if u have low end comp i seem to remember a gain or maybe im crazy)

-w -h set width and height (resolution) u can set one and i believe it follows the parameters for the other.

k well this is the force commands at launch. quick breakdown. and i know -tickrate 128 is server side but i never removed it just lazy, i believe its useless but i am a sucker for not changing my cfgs.

may add some cvars to what iv posted, i think i only put half my cfg up. i like to test config / launch options and i let friends test em and find out different results and benchmark information before i put my ass on the line and

last for now Mice, do some studying.

Refer to information on your specific mouse, lemme dig up the link. i know for sensei mouse their optimal is hard pad, they get the most percision on one. Also 1800 dpi + is optimal for percision, now im old school so i always used 400-450 dpi but i have been experimenting with this percision dpi setting shit and all this mumbo jumbo about optimal mouse settings. im using around .4 sensitivity atm and 1800 dpi not sure how i feel about it but i have made some really nutty shots here and there. the dpi is hard to contain may have to drop sensitivity more to feel more at speed.

                  good for sensei info: http://www.overclock.net/t/1230203/m...out-this-mouse

the breakdown on mice, wish i read this before i bought. but sensei is a solid buy so not distraught: http://www.overclock.net/t/1168062/e...ei-56k-warning

ok dunno the exact post but skylit has AMAZING mouse reviews, indepth with flaws and benefits, he has a post where he breaks down like 12 gaming mice. dood knows his shit when it comes to mice. serious must read.

some people dont have nvidia settings even right, this is my setup but its not the best for performance cus i like it to look nice if u have low fps make adjustments to anti aliasing. i mean u gotta do this basic stuff to get a solid smooth 200fps game especially if ur running 120hz monitor. and linear fps to hz is bs you are better around 200 fps on 120hz

On configs: most of those settings Ernesto provided look fine, but "cl_bobcycle 2" isn't allowed under the unified tournament rules. "cl_bobcycle .98" is the only allowed value.

On mice: Don't have much to add and won't go into the crazy technical depth of ernesto, but I can attest to the ss sensei. Switched to it from the deathadder a few weeks ago and it's been great. The feel is really comfortable and precise, and it really only took about a day to get used to. As for the hard pad/soft pad hubbub, I've only heard that sensei is better on hard pad for two reasons--

                            1. "Hard pad is better with the sensei feet." This is the official steelseries stance... they say that they designed the 9HD and 4HD pads alongside the xai, and the sensei uses the xai feet. TBH I can't find a difference in performance on hard pads that I've tried with the sensei, and soft ones just seem more precise. Also kind of skeptical because it's probably ss trying to push their product.

                            2. "Hard pad is better with the sensei sensor." This is probably the better reason of the two, and I don't really know enough about sensors to make a determination as to whether or not that's actually true. I do, however, have my experience with the mouse. I prefer a soft pad, and I feel like any difference in sensor accuracy is marginal and outweighed by the increase in accuracy I get from the control of a soft pad.

Mouse pads aside, I would def recommend the sensei. It's well balanced and comfortable, and seems to be constructed with high quality materials and specifications. I agree with most of the review Ernesto linked. The coating is kind of awkward though, the chrome finish just seems kind of tacky and gets rull durty rull fast. It's also not very "grippy" (like the finish on my deathadder, for example), which hasn't been a huge issue for me but is still kinda annoying. It's not a dealbreaker, though, and if I were buying it again I would have just got the fnatic version or one with the better coating.
The software is a huge plus for the sensei, too. It's cleaner aesthetically than the razer synapse software, and runs faster and more responsively while at the same time offering a lot more features. It's not all up in my face like synapse is sometimes for updates, etc. Also--even if, for some reason, you don't like the steelseries software running, you can just load your settings profiles onto the mouse and switch between them using the bitmap lcd screen on the bottom of the mouse (which seems to be the only useful feature of a screen that's otherwise constantly facing the table).

I've got a Qck pad coming in the mail, so if that changes anything I'll update this post accordingly.
