Does know how I can turn down the voice chat in my headphones without turning down the game volume? My headphones actually have a separate control for chat and game volume, but the chat one does not change when I rotate it. I went into CSGO audio settings and did not see anything - it just has volume control as a whole. Any ideas? Are there more detailed audio settings that I am not seeing?

I hate when I hear people talking and it drowns out people's footsteps.

I think he is talking about game soounds such as gunfire, explosions, vs voice from other players.

Correct, sometimes people's voice muffle in game sounds that help me be aware of where the enemy is (gunfire, footsteps etc)
