Capture the flag? It's been so long but perhaps that's why seeing Cain's Lair in the server list seemed familiar. Did you also run CS:Source?

I had always heard skiing was a glitch that the developers had not intended. Sure made for some fun game play. I remember using the disc launcher to boost the end of your ski.

It really isn't an issue with me, as I'm not a uber player, doesn't really matter which team i'm on.

I'm really not there to rack up points anyway, but to observe the players and make sure we have no Tk'ers or asshats trying to wreck the enjoyment of the rest of the players... I'm not a camper, nor a sniper, so I charge right in... BONZAII!!!! With a 2 core board, so i'm behind the times.. LOL

Yes, it is more fun to play with people that you have enjoyed playing with. It all works out in the end, especially when there is a team shuffle.

I've played FPS's since I was 6... when the original CS was a well kept free secret. I've played all the BF series, all COD games, and never, never, never did I play on a server where they shuffled the teams to keep this from happening.

In fact, when I was in a clan our rule was "If you aren't winning, your doing it wrong." So i learned to use cheaper weapons and no kevlar to my advantage. you run faster w/o kevlar and especially in CS:GO, there are some really good weapons for losing teams with no budget:

Tec-9 is a HS beast, I use it even after 3 or 4 rounds of play other than a crappy smg.
Bizon is complete garbage past 20 feet but is the golden CQB weapon for the price-tag.
Glock-18 can be one of the best weapons if used correctly, just watch some of the regulars flip that thing over to burst and take out 2 or 3 guys even in the later rounds of the game.
On T side the Galil is not a bad choice if you are on a budget but need range. You can burst with it and HS with very little practice.

I could go on, but the point is: There is always a way to win a round of CS. I've seen on the server in the past week a CT team win the 1st 7 rounds and then the T's went pistols only and ran over them like nothing and went on to tie up the game before half. anything can be done, that's why CS is so popular.

Sorry, but this is wrong. Kevlar/Helmet has no impact on user's speed.

If you have armor on you can't get speed holes, they make you go faster

Kevlar does slow movement speed. I believe the default run speed is 250 with a knife. With Kevlar it is 245. With an Awp it is 200, with an M4 its 230 with a deagle its 240, with a negev it is 200. Walking cuts those numbers in half.

I never really paid as much attention to the statistics in 1.6 or source, but in GO I kind of wanted to know what all was going on so I could figure out how I keep dying.

I believe you can do a cl_showpos 1 and show your ups. I'm at work right now so I can't confirm.

pretty sure that article isn't covering GO since the hotkeys mentioned are wrong, but my previous source was from a youtuber, and you know how reliable that information can be at times.
