Map discussion

I fiddle with the map rotation daily, sometimes more than once per day.

I look for maps that play well, balanced, interesting, fun good FPS, and so forth.

When it is all said and done tho, the most popular maps remain the base maps.

Customs are a problem because folks with Macs cannot get them pushed so they get kicked out.

All that having been said I'm wide open to suggestions for new maps.

I was thinking maybe one day a week we could add one of the new maps from the map pack to play rotation all day. Give it a name, like "Cain's Friday Fun Map" and see what people think. Put it at the end of rotation, so the first map, a popular one, is worth playing through the new map for, even if it turns out to be a dud. Keep track of what maps aren't popular, and don't do them again. I was thinking, even though it's small, gwalior might be fun to try one week... I really liked some of the patch maps, and if we keep it to one day a week, it's not going to be a big hit on server popularity.

I wouldn't do it on Friday. Do it on the days which have less people. This way it will draw a crowd on a slower day.

I love Vertigo, especially with the fixes Sirex made for it.

Vertigo is awesome.... I love Aztec, it's old school and a great map. We don't need it. Not matter how we spin it, its like every time we play it is just a long drawn out mess of camping.

I liked motel too, it was crazy and the rounds usually go quickly.
