Team Damage Kicks

Today I was playing on Train, and just having fun, and I admit I had alot of accidental team damage, but no TK's. I got kicked after throwing a nade and it causeing like maybe 6 hp on a teammate, but my complaint is I had no warnings pop up on my screen at all saying I would be kicked if I caused any more team damage I would get kciked or anything. Just wondering if this was because I had no TK's or if it was a glitch... It didn't upset me, it just pulled me from a good game. I rejoined after map change and had a good evening.

It can happen to anyone, even admins, you have to wait it out. I think it is a 3-5 minute auto ban.

It can happen in one shot if you throw a nade and it hits multiple people even though it causes each person only a little damage. I'm not sure what the actual cut off point is in terms of total damage to get kicked.

Depends when and where you did it, valves tk protections a bit funny.
Too close to spawn or start of the rounds instant kick

Even team damage will get you a temp ban, if you cause enough of it. You say you had a lot of team damage, then at some point the game had to have warned you something along the lines of "if you cause anymore damage to your teammates, yo will be kicked." You just probably didn't notice it.

I've been booted before. We have to have those settings otherwise deliberate TKers would ruin the games for everyone.

Especially since there are times when there is no admin present.

Ahh I have waited for the time before!

Coversix went and sat in a molotov I threw to close a choke point on downtown just last night and I had to sit in time out for five minutes.

Yeah I know there's good reason to the rules... I just recieved no warning (the red lettered text) trust me I never miss it... I think I may have thew a grenade and hit too many people at once
