    VOIP feedback

I don't know if this is an appropriate place... but I've looked online and found no help.

Every time I play on the server there are a few people who, when they got ot talk, it completely buzzez out all my in-game sound. Sometimes not as bad as others. sometimes I can hear a little of my ingame sound and even some voice, but on some people it is just complete feedback. I believe there is a way to change the voice settings but I honestly cannot find them at all.

Or maybe it is my headset, I don't know. Any help would be great and perhaps I'm not the only one with this problem. THanks

There is a command to decrease voice but I forgot it.......

I think I have mine at .5 or halfway because sometimes people talking cover up the sound of foot steps.

theres also Steam settings that you can toy with that allow you to change your send/recieve mic volumes.

The command to reduce in game voice volume ratio to game volume ratio is voice_scale. It defaults to 1, I have mine set to .5.

I play a lot of competitive matchmaking, and if you have ever done that you know you run into team mates who when they are dead try to tell you what to do non-stop, to the point you can't hear the game even when voice is scaled. For those times, I have voice_enable 0 bound to a key.

Tried this... does nothing in GO, in CS:S and 1.6 it works but not in GO.

I might have to try your commands and bind them to a key.

yep, although I have to adjust it as different players join, this cammand saves the day. gonna bind the voice_enable 0 and voice_enable 1 just for those moments though

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
