Crysis is visually stunning, packed with intelligent, thrilling gameplay, and easily one of the greatest shooters ever made.

The Good
* Dynamic, emergent shooter gameplay
* Unparalleled visuals with destructible environments
* High level of replayability
* Power struggle makes for huge multiplayer battles
* An amazing accomplishment overall.

The Bad
* The single-player story ends
* Will laugh at every CPU and GPU thrown at it
* No team deathmatch.

With my upgrade from a 19" to a 24" LCD and the naive resolution going from 1280x1024 all the way up to 1920x1200, my 8800GTS 640mb card will not cut it running this game flat out, so I now have to seriously think about plunking down an additional $400 to buy another GTS ACS card.
That simply doesn't sound like a good buying decision when GT cards can be found for less. Problem is, I'm already locked in to my existing card, so buying a second is my only choice. And remember ... this is just a freakin' GAME, so $400 plus $40 for the game and it better knock my socks off for THAT amount of cash !!

Decisions, decisions ....


PS - I wonder why they dropped team deathmatch ?? My guess is that higher end rigs would have an advantage in DM ..? Either that or the netcode won't handle all those polys.

Power Struggle sounds like 2142's Titan mode, just on the ground. Very cool. I always wished the titans weren't airborne, it would've solved so many of the problems that plagued that game.

I was a mp beta tester and I prefered the game over BF2142 in most aspects.

Only cons:
- No squad play, though you have to act as team to win a round.
- Again, very high system requirements.

I think they dropped tdm in order to hold the release date.
As well as releasing an addon at a later stage.

Take it for some one who as just finshed the game today it well worth anyones money the Ai is amzing the levels are Hugh and the The weapons and transports are great and not to spoil the game the Alien's are hell to kill.
