I just got this game yesterday and cant wait to give it a go this weekend sometime...I was reading this thread and I started drooling as I love rpg's

I got a good laugh out of a fight where I walked into a room with 5 mages in it who immediately attack me. I have just enough time to notice that one is called Crazy Mage and that he is casting Fireball. I think to myself "Gee, this is a pretty small room to be casting a fireball in" just before he sets it off and kills everyone in the room EXCEPT me. That's some good storytelling right there when you actually LOL from their jokes!

I just get a kick out of random conversations. Makes me want to experiment more with party combos to see what happens. Alistair+Morrigan=hilarity, and listening to Morrigan and Leliana fight over my male character is pretty cool.

I finally left Orzammar tonight. If you go there, take a ton of injury kits with you. I was stuck down there for 8-10 hours (!), with nary an injury kit to be found unless I got real lucky with a pickpocket attempt. Moriana was walking around with no less than 9 major injuries at one point. Which itself was hilarious: fractured skull, broken arm, hemorrage, busted leg, etc. etc. all on one person.

35 hours in; if the elves and Denerim take as long as Orzammar, I'm going to hit 80 hours with all the sidequests I'm doing. Awesome scope to the game. It's definitely up there as an all-time great.

Play a lot this week. The expansion is coming next week--another 20+ hours of play.

You may not finish the main game first though. I put in 60 hours to get through the storyline and just about every side quest I could find.
