Steam has Arma 2 down for $25 this weekend, is it worth it?
I couldnt hardly play the demo at 20fps... Didnt matter what settings i used so is the full version any better?

No mate I bought the full game and it was a big let down for me they was to many key to give command etc

Bought it anyway

Played it most of today and its not as bad off as the demo makes it.
FPS are low but the game isnt jumpy like some games are even with high FPS.
It still feels kinda beta at times and the control's are aggravating sometimes but i've managed to enjoy it most of today.

I bought it on steam also for 25 bucks. Its ok, better then the demo. The Demo made my GTX 280 fan spin up a little louder... Graphics is still lackin, The terrain is a joke, COD4 looks better. The default head bobbin made me get a headach that I had to turn it way down... I went strait to MP and too many command keys to remember, why cant I just auto pick up a weapon or ammo instead of going through serveral keys to figure out I went right back to the main screen. Took me a while to find the map, it seems like everyone in the 40+ servers always calling the new guys noob this and noob that. "hey dont steal my bike you noob" "I told you to get on the gunner noob" "Why is there a sniper in my hummer, get out noob" blah....

I found a server that had 98 players but I didn't see much action cause I was lost. lol Now trying to figure out how to fly a heli is another task. The control key screen help wasnt much of a help

I'll probaly play with it some more, Oh I havent play with all the weaponds but some of the sounds are terrible.

What is this thing with money and buying stuff, and how did I earn the money?

Ya, either the helo's are made to be real or im really rusty at it. Set up my joystick and landed in a few trees on the training course. Its kinda hard to fly them lol. Its definitely not Bf2 lol. One flight i hit a tree with tail rotor and that was funny lol (wtf why am I spinning all of a sudden.... ffs.... stop!!!!!)

You can fly it with default keyboard and mouse but it gets interesting lol.
The servers are frustrating, I got thrown outa my first 1 for shooting npc friendlies cause i was pissed, couldnt get into any of the vehicles and nobody would answer my questions. And id been playing the game on SP all day and none of the vehicle options would come up.

Some servers have a capture objectives where you have to capture an area then move on to the next connected point, I found that fun to a point, then i got onto a huge map and was only like 8 ppl in game......

Its not the kinda game you just install and start owning people, Steep learning curve.
