now i played BF:BC on the xbox and it was a blast i thought, the way you could just blow anything up I hope EA gets it right this time for the PC. This is defenitly a game I could get hooked on

Just finished playing PS3 BC2 Beta, and i love it. And i am not even PS3 gamer. So i can only imagine how cool is going to be for PC! Just cant wait...

The PS3 Beta has been lots of fun...although still learning the controls and aiming w/ the controller.
Sometimes you are in run mode for a bit but since you can spawn on any of the squad members usually your not too far out of the fight. The UAV Unit is pretty cool but extremely fragile to shooting. It does come w/ a guided missile which is deadly against tanks w/o gunners. Tanks are pretty tough and w/ the armor upgrades they are hard to bring down w/ just RPG's or Tanks. You really need to gang up on them w/ concentrated fire especially if there's an Engy behind it repairing away.

Rush mode reminds me of Assault from UT'99 where you need to go from one objective to another to win. So far it's really balanced between attackers and defenders and it's rare that a blowout happens. Even if the attackers swarm over the first few objectives and push you back there's alawys a chance to win if you can stall them.

Think I played about 8hrs and got to rank 13 so that part wasn't as bad but you can tell it gets harder after 15 to really rank up unless you play a ton. So far having a good time w/ BC2.

I would say the maps are going to be typical of BF2 although hard to tell because there's no Conquest mode in the beta.

The beta map is pretty big but in Rush mode you don't get to play on the whole map at one time. The OOB changes depending on how far the attackers get which is a great idea for keeping the gameplay contained.

Finally unlocked the AT Mines....just like the BF'42 where all it takes is one to destroy a vehicle...although you do get an audio warning they are near. Also the Recon gets a deadly unlock in the form of a motar strike...great was to clear out those campers in the building objectives.

I remember hearing a few months ago that the PC version will support large map sizes, 32v32 if I recall correctly, but I couldn't find it again.

I've definitely got my eye on this. I loved BF2, and this looks like a step in the right direction for it. I was a bit disappointed when MW2 chunked dedicated servers out of the window, but I wouldn't have played it once Bad Company 2 came out regardless.

I've got high hopes.
