if only my download speed was better than its usual 256kb per sec i would buy more game. but the 10GB worth of games like GTA4 what i want to get now that its $7.50

I only get about 320Kb/sec. Wish DSL providers could up their Mbps, but that's a whole 'nother issue.

Anywho, what does your Steam games list look like after this crazy sale? Mine's been beefed up quite a bit.

Well, you've got me beat by quite a bit, but at least 6 of your AAA titles I have on disk, and I don't load as many mods for the steam games.

A lot of the old Valve games and the Star Wars stuff I also have on disc. They got re-bought thanks to the Valve Complete Pack when a "guy I know" (former friend) got my old account VAC banned and the fact that the old Lucasarts games don't work with Windows XP and beyond out of the box anymore.

Colonel I had gotten a notification thorough Steam that you had bought a bunch of games and I had noticed Civ IV Colonization. I loved the first Colonization so I wen ahead and bought the whole pack for around $26.00. what a bargain. I also took the opportunity to create an account for my son because the game I had to buy again was only $4.99 and Torchlight was was around $9.99 so it was an inexpensive time to set him up.

Yeah I love the Civ games. Got the whole pack on a sale day for about $13!

I love the original Colonization. The update, not so much. It's really, really, really bloody HARD. Just like the Civ 4 combat engine, it's just seriously unbalanced. I thought Civ 1-3 was a bit wonky when a spearman beat a tank sometimes, but Civ 4 is just completely unpredicatable and too difficult in combat even on easy settings.

The rest of it is pretty much like the original though, so it's got that going for it until it's time to declare independence. The Crown just steamrolled me every time I tried until I just gave up, and it's pretty hard just to capture a random village or city that has had a couple of turns to build up defenders.

My laptop is packed now but when I get a chance I will post a link to a post in some forums that has some interesting strategy when it come to defeating the REF.
