OK lair, since I can't make decisions by myself....

I'm thinking of actually buying a new game besides Day of Defeat!!!

I'm torn between a few

MW2--yeah yeah, they made some dumb mistakes, but I have a bunch of DOD friends that play MW2 so it could be fun

BC2--I've never heard a bad thing about battlefield from anyone. I know people here are playing, and it looks sweet.

L4D2--Loved the first, demo'd the second like it

Bioshock 2--ADORED the first one. Then again I can always wait and get it cheaper down the road and be just as happy.

Frankly, if I were to decide right now, I'd go with BC2, but I've never played any battlefield...EVER. Just interested in seeing what people think.

if i had to pick between those three, i would go with bad company 2 for sure, but obitroy and apache have a valid point, the more ppl on the tf2 server the better!

I have L4D2 and Bioshock 2. I really liked the multiplayer on bioshock 2 but it's not as vast as the other ones imo, and the single player is just too fas D:!
L4D2 is fun, but the L4D series get me bored too quickly, which is a shame, then i just play from time to time...
If you decide to buy BC2 I would wait a little longer, I've never played any battlefield game before either, and I'm waiting, to see if it's indeed cool, if they screw up in a short period of time, etc.
MW2 would be the best option if you have a lot of friends who play it. I only get games to play with my friends, the one I wanna play by myself I buy it single player, not multiplayer o__o
I would go for TF2, honestly, I bought it a few months ago and I'm still not sick of it. I like the graphics being more cartoonic o_? and I would also buy some other single player game like Plants vs Zombies or DAO

I have TF2, wish I had saved money on it and waited to buy one of these newer games.

It's fun, but I don't enjoy it like most other shooters. The guns are too unique for me...I like rifles and pistols. Most of all I don't feel the same level of challenge as I do in DODS and CSS where speed and aim mean more, TF2 is a game I just mess around in.

That's why I've leaned towards BC2, at least then I'm still with some of the people from the Lair in a game that I think I'll really like.

i would say its between more in BC2 or Bioshock 2. i have no complained in previous bf games and bioshock 1 was just great that u have to follow up on it sequel.

too bad my system can't run bc2 yet.

Bioshock 2 is great. I didn't have the slightest interest in MW2 from the beginning.

Mw2 is pretty tight. If you liked cod4 it has the same feel but with a few changes ie. maps-bigger not as linear and more ways around the maps. Fun guns and alot of unlocks such as emblems and titles as well as camos for the guns.

Because BFBC2 is the new thing most people have moved on to that and i gota say its REDICULOUS. The sniping is the beyond awsome and they have HC servers so 1 bullet with the bolts and 2 with the semi autos will kill if you hit below the chest. A shot to the head will kill instantly and it is always fun leading your shots on enemys across the map.

Now the medic!! I mostly switch off from scope to medic. The medic has heavy mgs that can get red dots, acogs along with medpacs that heal enemys farther away as you rank it up. If you fire in bursts it will be a sure kill because the gun jumps to the face automatically. The squad system is cool and if you are in vent the voip prob is not that big of an issue.

I havent used the assult class to much but i think they have the ak47 to start, then f2000, some sort of mini ak m16a1 last and a few other cool guns.

The engineer class is also fun you can get alot of points fast if you run along with a tank and repair as it goes, jump into the gunner seat when it is moving because it moves faster, and if you are in a tank fight just jump out and repair it from behind. This class has guns like the silenced scar.

The squads are cool and the maps are really good. There are different types of game modes from squad rush-which is 2, 4 man squads one on defense and the other on attack trying to plant and blow up bomb sites. Thats where the medic and assult come in handy.

Its an easy 10-10 for me.

Thanks for all the opinions guys. I think I'm going to go with BC2 in the end. MW2 servers are still complained about and I don't have console. I'm still happy with L4D original, I can wait on the second.

It does pain me to let Bioshock 2 go, but I've started replaying the first one, so I can wait a bit longer for the second.

Now I just need to get my home internet to work again
