Starcraft 2 Beta

Anyone playing the SC2 beta? You can get beta access if you pre-order. Or, simply put $5 down at Gamestop like I did. Anyway, I loved the original and Brood War years ago. The beta is patching right now. Can't wait to play!

I would like to hear your thoughts on it. I played that game before I was married and I had a lot of time to play I suppose I would get it if there were some SP action I could get into because to MP took a huge amount of time.

The retail will have SP. The beta is MP only.

I remember playing Starcraft in Metro Tech with classmates back in 01-02 (somewhere around there) I had no idea what I was doing. I built a small army, went to attack someone and meet him that had an army the size of China. So I spent some time building my army, let the other classmates to fight each other and next thing I remembered, I got dominated cause I couldn't figured how to attack. No more NERD games for me lol

After about 7 or 8 mp matches I think that the Marines play pretty much EXACTLY the same as in the old game. I guess Blizzard went with the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality and just upgraded the graphics. I could stand a few of my old favorites getting the same treatment.

Wow. He "gave" you a beta key. That's $300 min on ebay he could of gotten for it. I sold two of mine and made $500.

I guess some people prefer to give to someone instead of make money. But to each their own. I figure if all your friends already have their keys, why let one go to waste, right?

I was also offered one by a friend this past weekend but said no as I dont have the time to play the game, so it would be wasted.
