When it comes to the Deathclaws your lvl wont help you
I had forgotten what a deathclaw was until i shot what looked like a gekko from long range with a varmint rifle and it ran right over to me and killed me at lvl 14 with 2 companions shooting at it the whole time
BTW if you go to sloan and take on the task of clearing out the Death claws, use a silenced rifle to draw them 1 at a time and once your inside the quarry run up the conveyors, the claws wont follow you

I have found that the Anti-Material Rifle works real well on them thou

If you want to kill stuff outside of Vats get a rifle with scope and crouch at long range and snipe

Its a little buggy in places but overall its awesome, i'm level 23 atm. Gets confusing sometimes, cause there is no actually order on quests so you can go past others sometimes. You really have to explore everything.

No the game is bug as hell at this moment in time they need to sort out the bugs fast.

Forget Deathclaws, I ran into some giant bee like insects at the northwest part of the world map and those things are fierce. I am level 14 and those guys piled on me and Rex and just took us out in seconds. Did like 30-40 dmg and then they had poison which hurts 2hp/sec and it stacks. Oh man, thank goodness for quicksave and quickload. Was my only chance of getting away. They travel in pacts of like 4 and I have problems with just 2 at a time. They are so FAST! VATS is the only way to take them down. Plasma guns didn't help much either, I think they are resiastant but it was the only thing on me atm. Oh and I found Marcus from Fallout 2. He's cool looking and I can't wait to try to get him into my party.

pack of insects vs pack of deathclaws = deathclaws win.

Trick is to pull them with silenced weapons.

I haven't gone up against DCs yet. I've been following main story strictly cuz this Hardcore consumes all my food and water. And on top of everything, I put very little points into strength cuz I have never needed it. Carrying weight is what companions is for.

I am definitely seeing slowdowns when lots of people are on the screen. The gunfight with the Powder Gangers vs the town got really jumpy. That never happened during Fallout 3.

There is a d3d dll of some kind on bethesda forums that helped out alot for me.

Partial fix

Ive used it and it does increase frame rates around npc's. Some people have complained of Trojans/viruses but i havent seen them, and I had my virus killer (malwarebytes) running when I dl'd/used the file.

Well I have just had my Butt Kick by the super mutant at Black mountain These guys there and bloody hard than from fallout 3 lol but still loving the game apart from the bugs lol

Ther a re a few bugs but I'm loving this game and once again the music puts a nice touch to it. I think i may be hooked as I just bought "(I've Got Spurs) Jingle, Jangle" off of Amazon MP3 and I have started collecting bobby pins again.

I LOVE the music of these games, but they really need more for this one. I'm not sick of the play list, but it repeats really quickly.

I'm also wondering how the level limit is going to keep up with the exploration and the main quest. I'm not doing much of the main quest, am about 18-19 hours in, and I'm level 17 with maybe 55-60 locations discovered.

I'm collecting both teddy bears and intact garden gnomes this time in.

I couldn't talk my way into there and even after completing several missions for the NCR this guard wont let me through.
