I love the Black Mt. radio station. I can't wait to see what a super mutant named Rhonda looks like.

I beat teh game today and I was only level 24. Thing is though I rushed it and I know I could of easily gotten to 30 if I did more of the side quests for each "new" city I went to instead of forgetting them as I only went to them as part of a quest and didn't explore them. Had a really cool ending.

      ****************SPOILER ALERT!******************

Let's just say I own Vegas and there are no more NCR or Legion when I was done. Evil play-through all the way.

Based on the fun everyone seems to be having, I think I'll give this game a try. I've never played any of the Fallout series, so any hints or tips are appreciated. I see a few here already.

Well, I still have the F3 GOTY edition on my bookshelf and no time to play. But I'll get this one when it's cheaper.

P.S.: Have you guys tested the new Nvidia GeForce 260.99 WHQL driver for the game? It is said to improve the framerate.

Invest in either guns or energy weapons off the bat if you are new. Later on, focus on science, repair, medicine and survival. Key things to prioritize when leveling up. Amongst those key skills, speech is very important for "optional" quests and convincing enemies etc to do what you want them to(very important if you go full good role). If evil, just kill things. Surprisingly just killing stuff is actually good at some moments which I find dumb. Killing without reason other than you want them dead and you get good karma...GAY BEANS! lol

All the chat is making me want to get this one, or at least reinstall #3 on my new rig. I played that one through and was doing it again, then got stuck in some building that I jumped into from another building, worked through a bunch of quests in there, saved some guys from the roof, but could never get them down because I couldn't find a battery or something for the elevator...eventually I got tired of looking for one, running around the big place after killing all the enemies, with nothing to shoot but walls and light fixtures. It broke my heart.

The battery for the elevator was in the remains of a robot in a storage closet on one of the lower floors.

I have two word for you that may make you want FO New Vegas, reloading bench.

Well, Rats Ass! I went to buy it on Steam, and when the Fallout screen asked for my birth date I accidently hit enter before I changed the date. Now it tells I can't view that content.

As much as we are liking this one I would tell you to get the GOTY for Fallout 3. I think it was better than Vegas (so far) and was more stable. Probably cheaper too.

I have to agree F3 GOTY is well worth the money and a better story than Fall New Vegas.

Better (more) music in Fallout 3, but the stories and sizes are comparable--at least pre-expansion for FO 3. When this one gets expansions it should be pretty good all-around, though it will miss the impact of a 10-level expansion unless they cap at 40. What I dug about FO 3 as much as anything was seeing "familiar" locations, with me living in the DC region.

Stay out of Vault 11 until they patch the game. There's a bug that causes you to fail an utterly unrelated quest that in my case I hadn't even activated yet.

Pace, I did the same bloody thing the other day when I went to look at the manual to try to figure out more on Caravan. It worked for me the next day again. Otherwise as suggested ditch your cookies and try again.
