Man I tried to play Fallout 3, and if the critters werent eatin me every one else was trying to kill me with a tire iron. I just couldnt do it.

Lol. You are supposed to eat the creatures and kill the dude with the tire iron so you can sell it for a profit.

I have found that using VATS in combat is much better then trying to shoot t like we do int a standard FPS.

Steam informs me that some of our eSTEAMed (get it? HA!!) CLR's are playing now. What do you think? I bought it but haven't been able to load up yet.

Obviously we've all been too busy having fun to reply.

It's good in the way Fallout 3 was good, with a different story and a few new goodies along the way. It does feel a lot like a big expansion to Fallout 3, but that's not really a bad thing, is it?

It's a great game so far. been playing the main storyline but I got sidetracked last night when I finally got to vegas. I do find that the world map is somewhat small and the fast travel is wicked broken. Totally easier to play with fast travel if you are playing hardcore mode for the achievement. Barely get hungry or thirsty and your sleep only goes up like 50 from the top of map to the bottom.

I heard talk of Deathclaws and that they were an area I was at but didn't have the "cajones" to take on so I have yet to see them and their glory of killing me in half a second like my first encounter with them in Fallout 3 where I was only wielding a baseball bat and wearing sexy lingerie. Was priceless to see my head fly so far.

I'm playing HC right now. Why play it any other way when You have as much experience as I do with the Fallout series.

I ran into the deathclaws early, like level 4. Nothing I had on me was doing any damage, and when one finally figured out where I was, he was on me and with the first hit ripped half my health.

I reloaded before he killed me and walked the other way.

I love the game but it hell off a lot harder than Fallout 3. I run in to a death claw yesterday at LV 8 and was killed right away lol, But I have to Say the Night Stalker are pretty tough as well.
